Purpose of role
FareShare South West’s (FSSW) fundraising strategy and income streams have developed and diversified rapidly in line with major growth since 2017. Individual giving (IG) became a new major fundraising stream for us during the pandemic and is essential for ongoing sustainability as we expand and launch new programmes and operations to fight hunger and food waste.
The Supporter Care Officer (SCO) is responsible for all donor support processes, systems, strategies and individual giving fundraising appeals, which ensure we have excellent relationships with our donors to retain and grow our IG income. Powerful narratives, storytelling and engagement with donors is crucial to ensure that our funding need and impact is shared with supporters.
The SCO will work with the Fundraising Manager (FM) and Chief Fundraising and Communications Officer (CFCO) to grow our major donor, regular giving, appeal and legacy income alongside sustaining our irregular giving and Gift Aid income. The SCO will work with the Fundraising Assistant to thank supporters, record donations and support individuals with their own fundraising events.

At the RCN Foundation, we are committed to supporting, strengthening and championing the nursing profession. As a charity and grant-maker, we do this by funding research and projects, as well as education and hardship, which support nurses, midwives and Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) to innovate, progress their careers and get through tough times.
As the Foundation’s Grants Officer you will work with the Benevolent Service Team to assess hardship grant applications and agreeing grants with the Benevolent Grant Manager deliver and to deliver a first-class benevolent grants and signposting service at the RCN Foundation. The service is bespoke to the nursing and midwifery profession, and this role is essential in making key decisions relating to our grant making activity to individuals in need.
In this varied role every day will be filled with possibilities. You will use the online application portal on the CMS to manage all grant applications. You will also provide support to individuals through the relevant and comprehensive signposting hub, which is kept up-to-date and is tailored to the needs of the nursing and midwifery professions

Purpose of role

The Trusts and Grants Officer (TO) will be responsible for managing our portfolio of small grants (up to £15k) alongside supporting larger grant applications where appropriate. The TO will work with the Fundraising Manager (FM) to create compelling fundraising applications for both core funding and specific projects. They will be responsible for the stewardship of their funders, ensuring that they meet reporting guidelines, share impact data appropriately and keep funders updated of any project changes.
This role will suit an individual with excellent writing skills looking to develop their skills in the charity sector. The successful candidate will be able to create powerful narratives incorporating factual data and emotive case studies and be confident in approaching funders and promoting FareShare South West.
This role will be based in our central Bristol office, with occasional home working and occasional travel to our Plymouth warehouse.

About the role
As Crisis looks forward to the next decade, we have a clear vision of how homelessness can be ended in the UK. As Senior Best Practice Officer, you will support each of these areas. You will work alongside Crisis’ policy, communications, and campaigns teams in England, Scotland, and Wales, to further Crisis’ policy objectives and ambition through knowledge and practice examples.
You will support the development of Crisis’s own services across Skylight Centres informed by best practice identified internally and externally. This will include leading a Community of Practice within Crisis.
You will support communities across Britain that are helping to end homelessness, by building relationships with external organisations and supporting the development of tools and resources to enable them to end homelessness. For example, you will be directly involved in exciting projects like developing a Built for Zero approach in defined areas and supporting our charity partner Lloyds Banking Group to develop their approaches to ending homelessness too.

To be successful in this role you will have great networking skills and be good at making relationships across different sectors.
You’ll understand how local authorities and wider public bodies work and be able to build connections and rapport with individuals working there.
You’ll understand housing and homelessness systems and the current legal frameworks that underpin them across the UK. You’ll know how services can be designed to make sure that those who need help can get it and how to listen to the voices of those who use it.
You’ll be passionate about change and seeing homelessness ended, with a drive and energy to shape the role to do this.

We’re looking for a Trusts and Foundations Officer to join our team
Salary: Circa £30k
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid

As our Volunteer Support Officer, your role will involve acting as the first point of contact via email and phone for our 8,000 volunteers providing warm and friendly assistance. Responsibilities as our Volunteer Support Officer will include:
- Support the adult volunteer applications to join the Sea Cadets, ensuring that personnel records are updated accordingly on our database

- Administer personnel forms associated with volunteer progression
