The Faculty of Clinical Informatics is the multi-professional membership body for all clinical informaticians across the UK.  We are growing rapidly and currently have just over 800 members, including doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists and dentists who work in digital health and social care. We aim to support and nurture both existing and potential future clinical informaticians and to encourage a culture of striving for high quality and standards.

The Faculty has a Business Manager, a Membership and Communications Officer, and a Project Manager and is seeking a Support Officer to join this small and friendly team.

The postholder will have a key role in providing administrative support to the Faculty. This will involve liaising with Faculty members and external stakeholders, supporting the recruitment of new members and provision of high-quality membership services as well as supporting Faculty committees.   We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with an attention to detail.  The successful candidate will have experience of providing administrative support as well as working in a membership and/or communications role. They will be experienced in administering a membership database or CRM and/or updating websites, emails and social media, as well as in preparing agendas and taking minutes at meetings. The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office packages (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).

The Faculty is a new organisation, having been registered as a Charity in 2019, and this is a new post. As such the post is being advertised on a fixed term basis initially.

The successful candidate will share the Faculty’s corporate values. In return, the Faculty offers excellent terms and conditions, including a generous holiday allowance and pension scheme.

To apply, please upload your CV and cover letter via the Vacancies page on the RCGP website.
