Key Responsibilities

Personal Administration Support

• Manage the Chief Executive’s diary, optimising the efficient use of time and resources through effective planning and ‘gate-keeping’ in a relational style that represents the charity’s values
• Ensure all necessary briefing papers and documents are compiled for the Chief Executive in good time in advance of meetings

The role of the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships is to work alongside the Director of Operations in developing the day-to-day sustainable income strategy to fund the New Wine Trust's day-to-day operations.

 Role Particulars

Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Wednesdays twice a month.  The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance.  Specifically, the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships must be available for the annual leadership conference and some or all of the New Wine annual summer festival (on-site or remote support). 

Places of work: This role is eligible for hybrid and flexible working, with a minimum of 1 day in the London office a week.

Supervision: The post holder will receive regular supervision from their line manager. 

Role review: There is a three-month probationary period for this role.  The post holder will then receive a quarterly rolling review of performance, the role, job description, terms and package.

Terms and Conditions

• Location: This role is base at the MAF UK Offices in Folkestone, Kent.  We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. This will be discussed at interview.

All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this net zero plan. In 2024 and 2025, the Church of England is testing and piloting a range of approaches to help churches fundraise for projects. Our feasibility study identified that statutory sources of funding, currently under-accessed will be a new area of opportunity for churches, schools and housing to access.

The Giving Directorate is leading on the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments. In addition, The Giving Directorate and NetZero Programme Team will be engaging with funders at a national level to secure investment for projects.

Job Summary:

As Net Zero Carbon Statutory Fundraising Coordinator, you will work in The Giving Directorate and operate across the whole Church with a focus on supporting parishes and dioceses to access statutory funds. You will share your knowledge and insight to support with identifying, researching and applying to funding from a range of government sources. You will develop and maintain resources, guidance and training and help share best practice across the country, as well as working with regional fundraisers. With a range of projects and fundraising initiatives, the post holder will work collaboratively within The Giving Directorate and with the Net Zero Programme Team, with diocesan colleagues and with church volunteers.

The role:

Main responsibilities

• Develop a national plan to secure statutory funding at parish and diocesan level
• Acting as a central point of coordination between the schools, housing and parish fundraising workstreams to oversee statutory funding
• Working specifically with the Regional Fundraising Officer in the north west cluster of dioceses to identify and support applications to statutory funding sources by parishes
• Working with Net Zero Implementation Manager to support statutory funding applications for clergy housing
• Building capacity in dioceses to support senior staff (incl. Bishops) to use their networks to identify relevant statutory funding opportunities (e.g. mayors, local council leadership, police and crime commissioners etc)
• Supporting dioceses to think creatively about packaging projects up a) between parishes, b) between parishes, schools and clergy housing, c) across deaneries.
• Leading consortia of dioceses to apply for funding if available and supporting applications
• Building a hub of best practice and shared learning which will include designing and delivering training to staff and volunteers at all levels
• Sharing statutory funding opportunities across the Church of England, Net Zero Carbon, Giving, and Fundraising networks and with Cathedrals

The ideal candidate:

To be successful, you will need experience of securing statutory funding for projects and of other aspects of fundraising. You will need to be a very strong self-motivator and initiator as the job requires an ability to work across a wide geographical area on a diverse range of projects. Experience managing projects would also be useful. You will be an excellent trainer and communicator.

Due to the specialist nature of the roles within The Giving Directorate, training will be provided to successful candidates to enable them to carry out their role confidently.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to work as a Fundraising Coordinator.

The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for leading the work to raise funds to support the revenue costs of the Cathedral and towards securing external funding to support capital projects.

We have created this new position within  the Finance and Operations team, to provide excellent human resources services to our staff and to support their well-being. With an  increasing number of staff, this role will be a key in providing infrastructure support, developing and implementing HR strategy and will focus on staff wellbeing, and enhancing training and development opportunities. The Role

• Ensure the Lambeth Palace estate is managed to the highest possible standard, ensuring all areas are well presented, safe, secure and compliant for all visitors, residents and staff alike.
• Review and regularly ensure all agreed security measures are in place and are communicated accordingly.

KHCCC are embarking on an exciting chapter, creating the new role of Director of Development (Children and Families). With their Christian values driving transformation, this role is pivotal. KHCCC are seeking an innovative leader to join their executive leadership team and help steer change.

This opportunity will involve leading the transformation of their established Pre-school into a thriving year-round nursery. Furthermore, it includes launching a new childcare service at their second church site, enriching family and children's initiatives, and strengthening ties with borough leaders and funding bodies. This role will be instrumental in establishing connections between KHCCC and other services, enabling the comprehensive development in a unified approach.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in creating and implementing operational strategies and overseeing changes.
• Ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience in management, including overseeing teams and coordinating organisational tasks and responsibilities.
• A passion for family support and children's development.
