Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver a new Partners development strategy to secure significant gifts from individuals.

Person Specification:

• Experience of major partner fundraising.

• Strong knowledge of, and successful track record in, delivering significant new income through personal approaches to major partner prospects.

The Digital Content and Communications Officer (DCCO) reports to the Digital Communications Manager and has responsibility for the SAT-7 UK website, digital marketing and social media. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Website: Developing and updating SAT-7’s websites as inspiring platforms to raise profile, income and engagement.

Emails: Work with colleagues in the Communications Team and across the organisation to build, test and send responsive email templates for all SAT-7 UK’s email requirements (meeting SAT-7’s brand guidelines and conforming to industry standards). Use email marketing tool DotDigital to develop automated communications that strengthen supporter engagement and convert recipients into committed donors.

Content: Deliver engaging and inspiring rich media content across a range of digital channels, including web, email, social media and other digital marketing platforms. 

Social Media: Work closely with other team members to deliver strong social media content and engagement across various platforms, chiefly Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn.

Marketing: Support the digital marketing of SAT-7 resources and campaigns through social media advertising, external agencies and other channels as required, to engage more deeply with existing supporters and donors, acquire new supporters and to raise funds for SAT-7 UK.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• In all communication ensure consistent messaging, branding and tone of voice for the intended audience and that content conforms to the security and style guides.
• Use Customer Relationship Management systems to ensure efficient and secure storage of information.
• Assist members of the team in responding appropriately to communications from supporters and other organisations.
• Liaise with SAT-7 staff from other offices to share ideas and resources.

Are you passionate about driving meaningful change in the world? Do you want to explore the intersection of faith, policy, and politics? The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) is recruiting to two internship positions: one focused on Communications and the other on supporting local churches to build relationships with their MPs.

You would be working as part of a small ecumenical team on a diverse range of tasks and initiatives including communications, policy, campaigning and supporter engagement, contributing to the public advocacy and political engagement work of the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.

About JPIT

JPIT is a partnership between the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, and the Church of Scotland is an associate partner. Its purpose is to help the Churches to work together for peace and justice through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues. It is a team which brings together around ten staff from across the denominations. In recent years it has focused on issues around poverty, the economy, refugees and migration, the environment, peace and conflict, and politics.

The Internships

These internships provide opportunities to develop skills in campaigning, communications, research, and policy within a dynamic team environment. There will be opportunities for professional and personal learning and development to equip the intern for employment after their time on the internship. We’re looking for an experienced Political Advocacy Officer to join World Vision, an important charity helping vulnerable children across the world.

About the role:

As a Political Advocacy Officer, your role will be to work with policy and programmatic experts to help influence government, parliamentary and sector targets, coordinate events, and play a part in mobilising World Vision’s tens of thousands of UK supporters around our cause of standing with the world’s most vulnerable children. You’ll find yourself working with key political stakeholders, parliamentary networks, and committees.

Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Grow World Vision’s influence through developing and maintaining new relationships with key political contacts to achieve WVUK advocacy goals and support the implementation of the advocacy strategy.
• Monitor, analyse and brief key internal contacts/stakeholders on parliamentary and political activity relevant to WVUK with a particular focus on issues affecting most vulnerable children, faith and development, and fragile contexts.
• Lead WVUK’s engagement with parliamentary processes (such as WPQs, oral questions, etc.)
• Coordinate and lead the planning and delivery of political events (including annual political party conferences), supporting others where necessary.
• Carve out moments of political engagement of WVUK colleagues and support them through those engagements - including WVUK leadership and Policy and Programmes team.

· Represent WVUK in relevant sector forums to help develop strong relationships with peers.

· Work with the Media and Comms Strategy Manager to create, craft and place political opinion pieces and statements in targeted media.

· Work with policy experts and Policy and Campaigns Advisor to develop and disseminate advocacy positions to influence government, parliamentary, supporter, and sector targets.

· Work with the Media and Comms Strategy Manager and the Public Engagement Department to mobilise supporters around our cause of standing with the most vulnerable children.

About you:

We’re looking for someone with creativity and drive, who is confident engaging and building relationships with political decision-makers and networks.

You’ll need superb writing skills, good working knowledge of and/or interest in UK government and politics and be skilled in building relationships to influence change. Experience in international development, and/or UK politics is desired but not required. We are looking for a team player with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and grow. Most importantly, you must be passionate about advocating alongside and for children in the world’s poorest and most fragile places, and ensuring their needs and voices are heard at the highest level of government and parliament.

Key skills required for this role:

· Educated to degree level or equivalent level of thinking gained through experience.

· Good working knowledge of and interest in UK government and politics.

· A demonstrated ability to engage decision-makers and opinion formers and to influence them to achieve change.

· Excellent written communication skills, with an ability to understand and explain issues affecting the most vulnerable children for a range of audiences.

· Understanding of WVUK’s Christian foundation and approaches to social justice, and an ability to communicate these sensitively and appropriately.

Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies and possesses one of the finest libraries for biblical research in the world. It aims to grow an international research community, to present the value of the Bible at the highest academic level, to resource the Church to understand and trust the Bible, and to promote informed attitudes to the Bible.

The Supporter Engagement Officer will play a key role in engaging, involving and inspiring all supporters of Tyndale House through building excellent relationships via a variety of communication channels. One of our ambitious plans for 2024 and beyond includes a capital campaign to rebuild our 1960s library into a state-of-the-art facility. Our Principal is looking for a Personal Assistant who has the initiative to drive projects forward and is highly organised. This is an exciting new role within a vibrant and growing Charity. The successful candidate will provide strong executive support to the Principal as he seeks to further develop the organisation’s outputs.

The role of Personal Assistant to the Principal will provide the Principal with proactive and confidential project-related and administrative support, with a particular focus on development and fundraising activities. Our current annual expenditure on charitable activities is around £1.3m and we rely on donations and receive no public subsidy. The Principal therefore acts as both the head of the Charity as well as the primary fundraiser.

The post-holder will possess strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the tenacity to follow work through to completion. He/she should have experience in a previous PA and/or fundraising & development role, ideally within the Charity sector.

Location: Tyndale House, Cambridge

Hours: 37.5 hours/5 days per week (hybrid working considered)

We are seeking an experienced individual to develop our marketing and communications function and to help build our reputation as a centre of excellence in biblical studies. This is a varied and exciting role within a vibrant and ambitious small charity.

Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies and possesses one of the finest libraries for biblical research in the world. It aims to grow an international research community, to present the value of the Bible at the highest academic level, to resource the Church to understand and trust the Bible, and to promote informed attitudes to the Bible.

Working collaboratively across our small Communications and Development team, the post holder will develop, deliver and co-ordinate an integrated and effective marketing and communications plan. He/She will oversee day-to-day marketing activities and track their success and will help to deliver communications which are both engaging and professional.

The successful candidate will have an established track record of marketing and communications work, including digital and social media, and an ability to write and edit copy for different audiences. General administrative skills and an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages are essential. Training in software relevant to the role as well as mentoring and development opportunities will be offered.

The ideal candidate should be able to think strategically and manage multiple projects and tasks at a time. He/She should be passionate about making biblical studies accessible, be a willing team player and have the ability to relate well with staff and the general public.

There is an Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be an active, practising, evangelical Christian in agreement with the doctrinal basis of Tyndale House and living in accord with our Ethos Statement (as permitted under schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010).

About the role

The main purpose of the role is to coordinate the Methodist Church’s response to the arrival of Hong Kong nationals in Great Britain.  

This will involve liaising with the Methodist Church in Hong Kong and with circuits and local churches in Britain to ensure pastoral support for Hong Kong Methodists as they make the transition to this country.  You will help to motivate local circuits and churches to welcome and integrate the new arrivals into congregations, and you will provide support and training to facilitate this.  You will also develop connections with Cantonese-speaking groups and congregations already in existence, and may be involved in facilitating the formation of new ones.  Establishing connections and fostering supportive relationships to enable an effective network that brings together Methodists from Hong Kong and British churches, is key to your role.

About you

Bilingual in written and spoken Cantonese and English and a confident communicator in both languages.  You enjoy bringing people together and helping form new groups and congregations.  As this role will entail working with circuits and local churches, you will need strong project management and administrative skills. You need to be both self-motivating and a strong team player. Your work will help the Church to communicate and live out Our Calling.

We are recruiting for a Supporter Partnerships Officer who will play a key part in managing partnerships with individual supporters for the London City Mission. He/she will join our highly committed Fundraising and Supporter Partnerships Team and will work in a team of Supporter Partnerships Officers. The role holder will:

• Maximise engagement with our supporters and respond to their enquiries.
• Work on various administrative activities, including processing gifts, updating CRM/donor database, campaign response handling, and general office administration duties.
• Represent LCM at external events, including a week-long conference each year.

The successful candidate will be a committed, prayerful Christian with demonstrable experience in providing excellent customer service and supporter care along with strong administration skills and attention to detail. He/she will have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for the gospel message and be able to share their personal journey of faith in Jesus Christ.
