This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer and/or journalist to tell the stories of SAT-7 and the people of the MENA in fresh and powerful ways. Working closely with our external PR agency, you’ll help facilitate regular media opportunities with SAT-7 UK and international spokespeople, making sure they are well prepared for interviews with the press.

Help Promote the London Jesuit Centre and our Young Adults Ministries. We need en enthusiastic worker to maintain our website and social media presence as well as promote our Educational Centre through advertising. The London Jesuit Centre is run by the Jesuits, an Religious Order in the Roman Catholic Church. The venture was launched in 2019, with three strands to its work: the teaching and discussion of theology, the study and practice of the spiritual life, and engagement with issues of social and environmental justice, for the greater glory of God and the common good. There is a programme of events, courses and conferences, retreats and performances. A number of partner organizations also use the centre on a regular basis.
Jesuit Young Adults Ministries have as their central focus a Sunday Eucharist at 7pm, followed by social time, which takes place in Farm Street Church and the LJC. There are regular events for smaller groups in the LJC and in the Jesuit house in Clapham. Main days of operation are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist members of the team in responding appropriately to communications from supporters and other organisations.
- Liaise with SAT-7 staff from other offices to share ideas and resources.
- Assist the Digital Communications Manager and represent SAT-7 UK at conferences and events as required.
- At all times operate within relevant statutory requirements and guidelines, following best practice recommendations wherever possible. Specially ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator and General Data Protection Regulations.

The Diocese of Winchester and the Diocese of Portsmouth are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell to recruit a Strategic Programmes Finance Officer on a permanent, part-time basis (28 hours). The Diocese of Winchester (WDBF) and the Diocese of Portsmouth (PDBF) support the Ministry in, and the mission of, Church of England parishes in Winchester and Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
Reporting into, and working closely with, the Strategic Programme Managers of both dioceses, you will take responsibility for providing specific financial reconciliations, monitoring and reporting against the Strategic Development Fund (SDF) and Diocesan Investment Programme (DIP) funding received by the Diocese of Winchester and the Diocese of Portsmouth from the Church of England (Archbishop’s Council).
A key aspect of the role will involve financial planning and modelling for future DIP bids. SDF/DIP funding is given for projects within the dioceses that help to achieve their strategic objectives. The role also involves some historic analysis to ensure expenditure is correctly coded to the right project from previous funding.
In this Strategic Programmes Finance Officer role, you will:
- Support the Strategic Programme Managers, liaising with the Finance Team, drafting, costing, and modelling of financial information for future funding/grant bids, ensuring cost recovery for overheads and staff time is included on all projects.
- Prepare regular financial reports for the Strategic Development Team and senior leadership on the financial progress and outcomes of spend to date, ensuring transparency and accountability of the funds received for the various SDF/DIP projects.
- Ensuring any transactions for overheads or contributions to core costs are recorded accurately for costs incurred by SDF/DIP or shared by the WDBF/PDBF.
- Providing information to the Finance Team regarding projects as part of month or year-end processes.
- Support with the preparation of financial reports to Church of England on the funding spend to date at required intervals.
- Review of spend to date on Xledger vs spend expected by SDT to includes comparisons for projects, spend against budget and reconciliations moving forwards.

The successful candidate will have:
- Financial literacy and competency evidenced by qualification or experience.
- Experience overseeing financial aspects, producing reports and analysing variances of projects or programmes.
- Ideally, a background working in a not-for-profit or project-based organisation and have a good understanding of grant funding.
- The ability to process invoices, perform reconciliations and produce financial reports that can be easily understood by non-financial stakeholders.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate financial information to stakeholders with varying levels of financial comprehension.
- Excellent excel and analytical skills, with a strong ability to manipulate large volumes of data and plan for variances when setting budgets for long-term projects.

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a Christian mission organisation using light aircraft to deliver help, hope and healing in over 25 countries. For more than 75 years, MAF aircraft have been overcoming inaccessible terrain transporting mission and development agency staff, delivering urgent aid and medical supplies to transform the lives of remote and isolated communities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic communicator with experience of inspiring, leading and managing volunteers. You will help drive forward MAF’s reach, by cultivating strong relationships with churches and other community groups throughout Scotland to raise awareness of the work of MAF. The primary focus will be to expand MAF’s presence in Scotland, engage new audiences by fostering meaningful connections and partnerships with church leaders and delivering presentations in churches and other groups. Additionally, you will spearhead the MAF in the Community (Scotland) Volunteer Programme, aligning it with MAF UK’s strategic objectives and church engagement strategies to bolster prayer support, donated income, and recruitment to overseas roles, by growing, training and inspiring our volunteer base, to facilitate more opportunities to speak in churches and other community groups.
Proven experience in fundraising and managing volunteers is essential as is the ability to envision and inspire others thereby building trusting relationships. Organisational skills (including event management), and training others in biblical engagement is foundational.
The job will be based from our Scottish Office; Challenge House, 29 Canal Street, Glasgow, G4 0AD. The position is part time (minimum 22.5 hours per week). However, full time (36 hours per week) would be considered. Hours should be agreed with line manager according to the flexible working policy. The working hours for this role will vary as there will be evening/weekend work.
Benefits/Entitlement
- Annual leave entitlement of 22 days (158.5 hours) per year plus 9 days (66 hours) paid public holidays per year, pro rata.

With a broad range of responsibilities across fundraising, communications, marketing and public relations, you’ll play a leading role in celebrating the CUFs achievements through powerful story-telling, impact reporting and effective media relations. You’ll also develop our digital strategy, with overall responsibility for our website, social media channels and email marketing.
