The District Administrator is the first port of call in the District office and acts as an essential point of contact for all 19 Circuits and their Churches within the District.
The District Administrator will work collaboratively with the Senior District Administrator and be proactive with good organisational skills.
The role will provide administration support in a number of areas to support the Senior District Administrator, with emails, setting up meetings, maintaining records and databases.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for incoming emails, telephone calls and meeting and greeting visitors.
- Accurate and effective use of information management systems including general office filing, electronic file management, scanning, archiving, databases, other electronic records, spreadsheets and hard copy paper records, regularly updating as required.
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms.
- Assist with maintaining and updating the District Directory and databases.
- Assist with the administration for representative and presbyteral synod.
- Managing and ordering office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
- Maintaining office equipment, i.e. photocopiers and printers for smooth office functionality
- Communicate meetings and agendas to attendees. Take minutes when required and arrange lunches and refreshments.
- Assist with the management of the District Zoom accounts.
- Any other duties and responsibilities identified by the Chair and the Senior District Administrator as are within the capabilities and level of responsibility of the role in order to meet the needs of the District.

The two Assistant Vergers and Precinct Officers (AVPOs) carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of the Head Verger and Precinct Manager. Work includes: the careful setting up and delivery of all liturgical matters; ensuring a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all working in, visiting, or using the Cathedral and Cathedral House and precinct and ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the Cathedral for all.
Essential experience and skills
- Sympathy with the Christian faith.
- At least one year’s experience as a church or cathedral verger or in a similar role.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to take on a range of duties including practical ‘hands- on’ work.
- Attention to detail and an ability to assess priorities including when under pressure.
- Understanding of liturgy or willingness to learn.
- Ability to be a good team player and work collaboratively with Ministry Team, staff and volunteers.

Terms and Conditions

The Role
- Ensure the Lambeth Palace estate is managed to the highest possible standard, ensuring all areas are well presented, safe, secure and compliant for all visitors, residents and staff alike.
- Review and regularly ensure all agreed security measures are in place and are communicated accordingly.

- Ensure effective communication with the Archbishop's family, other residents, staff, Garden and Hospitality Teams on all work affecting the estate.
- Monitor and report on the Palace's environmental impact and initiating methods to improve sustainability.
- Assist the Head of Facilities & Steward in financial/budgetary management, including verifying and arranging payment of contractors' invoices and reporting on the annual budget.
- Where authority has been delegated, progress the work of the Head of Facilities & Steward in their absence and within agreed parameters, including out of hours working when required.

- IWFM qualification or equivalent experience.

The Marketing and Acquisition Officer will collaborate within a matrix team to spearhead online and offline marketing initiatives, elevating brand visibility and attracting new supporters and donors for MAF. This role entails orchestrating diverse campaigns, liaising with external partners for advertising, and contributing to content creation across various channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop multi-channel Marketing and Donor Acquisition campaign plans in collaboration with the Marketing and Acquisition Team Leader and Digital Donor Acquisition Manager.
- Execute digital-focused campaigns targeting diverse audiences to meet acquisition and income targets.
- Utilise data and research insights to understand audience needs and motivations, enhancing supporter engagement and long-term value.
- Ensure coherence across supporter touchpoints, enriching the supporter experience and fostering sustained engagement.
- Contribute to crafting campaign briefs, content, and copywriting across multiple platforms, including email, display, paid social, and print.
Support Strategic Goals:
- Identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness and expand the supporter base through acquisition campaigns, aligning activities with organisational priorities.
- Assist in developing and implementing the digital marketing strategy, brainstorming innovative campaigns to attract new donors.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Measure and evaluate campaign performance using appropriate analytics tools, providing regular reports to track KPIs.
- Optimize website, analytics, and social platforms to bolster campaign effectiveness and user experience.
Event Support:
- Coordinate with event planning to maximize marketing and acquisition opportunities, particularly for donor acquisition products.
- Contribute to the design and production of interactive event resources and manuals.
- Assist in event delivery when necessary.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Graduate or professional qualification, preferably in Marketing or Digital Communications.
- Proficiency in CMS software such as WordPress and CRM systems in a marketing context.
- Experience in crafting digital marketing and acquisition campaigns, along with copywriting for a range of audiences and products.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and utilizing insights for communication strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage external suppliers and negotiate effectively.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Copywriting training and experience with click Dimensions and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and content creation software like Adobe Photoshop and Premier Pro.
- Project management experience and proficiency in influencing stakeholders within a complex organization.
- Interest or experience in international development, aviation, or mission work.

Terms and Conditions
- Location: This role is base at the MAF UK Offices in Folkestone, Kent. We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. This will be discussed at interview.
- Working Hours: At least 36 hours per week, with 1 hour for lunch daily unpaid. Hours should be agreed with line manager.
- Annual Leave: Annual leave entitlement of 22 days per year and 8 paid public holidays per year.
- Pension Scheme: Non-contributory (10% of salary).
- Probation: 6 months
- Notice Period: 3 months
- Salary: £32,500 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for digital communications and creating engaging content for digital and social platforms. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and implementation skills, who will enjoy being creative and using their expertise to enhance SAT-7 UK digital communications. The role is based in Chippenham but flexible working options are available.(We will be open to discuss increased hours during a maternity cover period of May – December 2024.)
The Digital Content and Communications Officer (DCCO) reports to the Digital Communications Manager and has responsibility for the SAT-7 UK website, digital marketing and social media.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Website: Developing and updating SAT-7’s websites as inspiring platforms to raise profile, income and engagement.
Emails: Work with colleagues in the Communications Team and across the organisation to build, test and send responsive email templates for all SAT-7 UK’s email requirements (meeting SAT-7’s brand guidelines and conforming to industry standards). Use email marketing tool DotDigital to develop automated communications that strengthen supporter engagement and convert recipients into committed donors.
Content: Deliver engaging and inspiring rich media content across a range of digital channels, including web, email, social media and other digital marketing platforms.
Social Media: Work closely with other team members to deliver strong social media content and engagement across various platforms, chiefly Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn.
Marketing: Support the digital marketing of SAT-7 resources and campaigns through social media advertising, external agencies and other channels as required, to engage more deeply with existing supporters and donors, acquire new supporters and to raise funds for SAT-7 UK.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- In all communication ensure consistent messaging, branding and tone of voice for the intended audience and that content conforms to the security and style guides.
- Use Customer Relationship Management systems to ensure efficient and secure storage of information.
- Assist members of the team in responding appropriately to communications from supporters and other organisations.
- Liaise with SAT-7 staff from other offices to share ideas and resources.
- Assist the Digital Communications Manager and represent SAT-7 UK at conferences and events as required.
- At all times operate within relevant statutory requirements and guidelines, following best practice recommendations wherever possible. Specially ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator and General Data Protection Regulations.
