School Partner - National School Breakfast Programme
Home Based (with extensive travel across the East Midlands, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire)

We are Family Action, a national charity committed to building stronger families and brighter lives by delivering innovative and effective services and support that reaches out to many of the UK’s most vulnerable people.

We are very excited to be delivering the largest ever national roll-out of a school breakfast programme, based on the successful model developed by our delivery partner, Magic Breakfast. This programme will work with schools across the country to develop healthy breakfasts, so no child starts the school day too hungry to learn.

We are now seeking a School Partner to join us, working 29.4 – 37 hours per week, during term time only. This role is a fixed-term contract until 31st July 2020.

Your Role

As a School Partner, you will facilitate the delivery of the National School Breakfast Programme across the East Midlands, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

Working in close partnership with your team of School Partners and Team Manager, Regional Managers and colleagues across Family Action and Magic Breakfast, you will be responsible for supporting schools in the delivery and sustainability of their breakfast programme.

About You

To join us as a School Partner, you will need:

- Experience of working in an educational setting or in partnership with schools or other educational providers
- Knowledge of how schools operate
- Experience of being the first point of contact and providing high quality support
- Experience of working remotely, across a wide geographical area with a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience of influencing, negotiating and presenting the case for change
- An awareness/understanding of the importance of child health and nutrition
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

A degree level qualification or relevant professional qualification would be beneficial.

The working hours for this role are 29.4 – 37 hours per week, during term time only. You’ll be required to work flexibly to support the success of the programme, which may include working at breakfast time multiple times per week.
