Job description

Closing date for applications: 26th July 2020 at midnight.

We are now recruiting a full time (35 hpw) and a part time (17.5 hpw) Adviser and Advocate. The purpose of the role is to provide advice and advocacy services to families who are involved with children’s social care services.

For many families, becoming involved with social care services is a difficult and distressing experience. You will work with families who are seeking help from children’s social care services; families who are subject to child protection procedures; and families whose children are in local authority care or placed for adoption.

The successful candidates will have in-depth knowledge of childcare law and practice and draw upon this expertise to provide telephone and written advice to mothers and fathers, and to family members raising children who cannot live at home. You will be an experienced childcare lawyer, social worker or professional with related expertise in advising families.

We do not accept CVs. Please complete the application form, with as much information as possible and please indicate in your application whether you are applying for the full or part time role.

Those applicants shortlisted will be asked to an interview panel on the 3rd or 4th August 2020
