If yes, our Family Support Worker may be the role for you. As a Family Support Worker you will establish and provide appropriate support interventions for families in Castle Vale and within the wider Birmingham area (depending on funding acquired) experiencing challenging situations/circumstances to enable them to have increased aspirations and to achieve positive outcomes for both adults and children.
The successful Family Support Worker will have;
Significant experience of direct work with children and families in a family support capacity
Ability to understand and react to the needs of vulnerable families
Ability to identify problem areas, make recommendations and create support plans to enable positive changes
Ability to produce case reports in line with project protocols
Knowledge of interventions which may be used to support children, young people and families
Knowledge and understanding of Early Help assessment procedures and safeguarding processes
Relevant qualification in social care, health care, children and young people, community work or education, NVQ level 3 as a minimum
