Charity and Business Support Officer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Charity and Business Support Officer to join FARA supporting the FARA UK CEO and the FARA Enterprises Managing Director.
FARA Foundation was started 30 years ago by Jane Nicholson, driven by the sight of the appalling images of neglected and starving children in Romania’s state institutions, in the wake of the fall of Ceaucescu in Romania. In the thirty years since its foundation, FARA has cared for over 10,000 beneficiaries in Romania, transforming lives and giving hope of a better future to children and families living in severe disadvantage.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join the FARA Foundation at this pivotal time. This critical new role for the organisation will play a key role in the smooth running of the charity and its trading arm.
We are looking for someone who has experience of working in an administrative or executive assistant role previously who is keen to develop these skills further in a varied and important role. This post will need to work closely with the CEO and Managing Director daily ensuring that work is delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner. With great interpersonal skills, you will be willing to develop effective working relationships with trustees, staff, external suppliers, and fundraisers.
With a desire to make things run effectively and smoothly you will be able to plan and organise work while having a high degree of motivation and good time management.
This role requires a clear and confident manner, excellent written and spoken communication skills and the successful applicant will need to demonstrate specific skills in writing and using spreadsheets to present data.
We are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable with the energy and enthusiasm to take on this role to help drive our charity forward.
This role will start on £25,000 rising to £26,000 after successful completion of the probation period.
