Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Volunteering team, supporting the FareShare Greater Manchester and Touch Wood operations.    It's a busy and varied role, but primarily focuses on recruiting, engaging and retaining volunteers to support the important work we do.

The role requires someone with ideas and a good knowledge of the voluntary sector to recruit, train, and develop volunteers across our service.  The Volunteer Coordinator will work closely with the Volunteering and Employability Programmes Manager to identify ongoing volunteering needs for the organisation.

You'll be organised and highly proficient in all administrative duties.  You'll also help to manage and deliver our employability programme supporting administration of short courses.  You must be able to provide monitoring data to be used in compiling monthly reports for Board meetings, funding reports and audit purposes.  You'll have strong communication skills including a good telephone manner and be confident in dealing with enquiries at all levels.  We reach a wide variety of people from different backgrounds, abilities and communities.

We aim to encourage a culture where people can be themselves and be valued for their strengths.  We seek to attract and employ the best people from the widest pool, reflecting the diverse range of people we support.

The closing date for completed applications is noon on Friday 28th January 2022.  Interviews are expected to take place the following week.
