We work in partnership with farms and other rural locations to run a day service which provides opportunities for people with learning disabilities (our “co-farmers”) to recognize their own abilities, develop their skills and give life more purpose.
We have established partnerships with a number of different rural enterprises and locations where our co-farmers engage in all sorts of different activities including gardening, animal husbandry and woodwork. We are looking to establish a base at one of these locations. An early objective of your role would be to help us to do this. To work closely with our team and develop a partnership with our hosts that would be of mutual benefit.
As Chief Executive you would be responsible for all operational aspects of our organisation with overall responsibility for the management of the programme; our staff (currently 5) and volunteers; helping us to fund and create innovative programmes to enable our co-farmers to progress; and working with the trustees on strategic direction and development whilst preserving our ethos and focus on the individual.
