CB2, Cambridge
Circa £18,000 per annum
Permanent, Full-time
Job description

This is a truly exciting time to be joining FFI’s Fundraising Team. Over the past couple of years we have been honing our fundraising and have created what we believe to be an industry-leading programme, built on developing and nurturing genuine long-term relationships with the people who support our conservation work.

We are seeking an individual with excellent administration skills, a real affinity with the work that we do and who can help us to build excellent relationships with our supporters. Your role will be busy and varied – from managing the day-to-day administrative tasks that are crucial to fundraising, as well as working with colleagues to deliver the best possible supporter experience to our members and donors.

You will report directly to the Head of Supporter Recruitment & Development and work closely with the Fundraising Assistant, Database & Fundraising Systems Manager and FFI’s Finance Team on a range of activities that help in the smooth running of the fundraising department, and will ensure we manage and develop our relationships with supporters. Tasks will include:

  • Processing of daily income, from postal income to online donations
  • Responding to requests and queries relating to fundraising donations - this will mainly be from supporters, the fundraising team and the finance team
  • Updating supporters’ contact details, preferences, contact histories and other details relating to their records on the CRM database as required

You will be self-driven with strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail and be able to prioritise a busy workload effectively. In return, the role offers the opportunity to work within an exciting, friendly and lively team that in turn is part of a ground breaking and entrepreneurial organisation at the forefront of global conservation. In addition, FFI offers a generous pension contribution, attractive annual leave allowance and life insurance.

Our offices are located in The David Attenborough Building in central Cambridge, just a few minutes’ walk from glorious historic buildings and museums, the picturesque River Cam, the central market and shopping centre, and a host of cafés and restaurants.

The closing date for applications is Monday, 17 February 2020.
