Fight for Peace is an international non-governmental organisation (NGO) that supports young people to achieve their full potential and helps create peaceful communities. The organisation was founded in Rio de Janeiro, in 2000, and set up in Newham, London in 2007.
Fight for Peace launched the Pan-Newham Partnership in January 2020. This is a pilot of the collective impact approach in the borough of Newham, London. Fight for Peace facilitates and coordinates the work of the partnership which includes 30 organisations across the voluntary sector, public sector, health and the private sector. The vision of the partnership is to facilitate collaboration between organisations to increase opportunities for young people and improve youth safety in the borough.
Working closely with the Newham Partnerships Manager and Academy staff, the post holder will have responsibility for the development of the Pan-Newham Partnership; maintaining relationships, facilitating training, learning and best practice and scoping opportunities for genuine collaboration between sectors across the borough.
The postholder will be expected to adhere to Fight for Peace values at all times and always put the needs of young people first.
We are looking for someone with experience of partnership work in the voluntary sector, with exceptional organisational and relationship building skills.
