£30,360 - £40,480 per year
Permanent, Contract, 12 months with an intention to make it permanent subject to funding, Part-time, Full-time
Job description

Are you passionate about building relationships and diverse networks to create positive change? Do you have great comms expertise?

We’re looking for an experienced, creative and strategic Community and Communications Manager.  You will lead the growth and engagement of our community, a network of systems-changemakers - including activists, campaigners, innovators, intrapreneurs, practitioners and thought leaders - all working towards a financial system that serves people and planet. Together, we collaborate to change the story on finance, shift the power dynamics in the system, and build a financial system which is democratic, sustainable, just and resilient.

You will also lead on the development and maintenance of our communications strategy and channels, producing content for the community programme and core Lab activity, as well as supporting programme leads with their programme-related comms.

This role is initially for a fixed term of 12 months with an intention to make it permanent subject to funding.

About the Lab

The Finance Innovation Lab is a UK charity working to transform the financial system for people and planet.

Dysfunctions in the financial system lie at the root of many of today’s challenges, from climate change and economic crises, to poverty, marginalisation, and inequality.

We believe it doesn’t have to be this way.

We work for deep, lasting change to the financial system to make it democratic, sustainable, just and resilient. We create this change by building the power of a community of systems-changemakers and developing ambitious initiatives that transform the financial system for people and planet.

Hours and location

This is a full-time role, but we are open to applications from those looking to work 21 hours or more per week, or job-sharing applications.

A bit more on hours: Our current full-time hours are 35 hours per week, but from July to December 2021 the Lab is piloting a 32-hour week. The outcome of the pilot is not yet known, and we can agree an FTE% which works for both of us during the interview process.

A bit more on location: This role is UK-based and does not need to be London-based. However, we anticipate offering in-person events in London as soon as we are able and you would need to be available to organise and attend these.

For more details on the Lab and the application process please click 'apply on the website' which will take you directly to the application portal.
