Summary

The Business Partnering Manager is responsible for ensuring an excellent business partnering across the charity by understanding organisational needs, setting standards, seeking feedback, and coaching the business partnering team - ultimately ensuring that the Diabetes UK strategic objectives are achieved.

Main Responsibilities

The Business Partnering manager plays a critical role managing the budgeting & forecasting work across Diabetes UK ultimately, working closely with the Head of Finance & senior stakeholders, to ensure that we deliver our vision in a sustainable way.

You would be leading a team of five business partners and empowering them to add value the Directorates they work with to enhance the work Diabetes UK caries out. Working with your team you will look at ways to improve our reporting and build financial capability and confidence across the charity.

The Business Partnering manager also supports the Research Directorate so you would be working with colleagues to support our ground breaking research work and reporting on progress to external funders.

You will bring your experience of business partnering to develop a vision of how the business partnering team can drive positive change across Diabetes UK. You will be comfortable being a critical friend to senior stakeholders and providing a constructive challenge to ensure the best outcome for Diabetes UK.

Bladder Health UK (BHUK) is a small national charity that has developed significantly over the last 10 years. We are now looking for a part-time charity manager who can continue this journey. The role gives a rare opportunity to someone who is enthusiastic to make a difference in this unique space and have a significant impact on both sufferers and healthcare professionals. What you would do

You will also be expected to be able to provide and present regular reports to the Trustees on the finance and operational activity of the charity.

To succeed in this post, it is essential that you have:

• Have been involved in charity campaign work previously.
• Have experience in charity operations and governance. 
• Have sales /marketing/fundraising experience.
• Be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
• Can demonstrate effective communication skills with ability to liaise with different audiences and be effective at developing long-lasting relationships.
• Evidence that you are highly organised and great with time management.

We have ambitious goals here at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and are looking for an experienced, strategic, and financially savvy Head of Finance to join us. The RCR is a charity with a focus on supporting doctors who deliver medical imaging and cancer services and we require a passionate and dynamic finance professional to helps us continue making a difference.

The Head of Finance will manage the high-performing finance team consisting of a Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant and Finance Business Partner. Sitting in the Business and Resources Directorate the team are instrumental to the successful running of the RCR. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

Financial Accountant

Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £55,000

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.

We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years. Alongside funding an existing programme of world-leading research, treatment and care, the Charity has recently completed its largest capital appeal to date, successfully raising £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre at the hospital’s Sutton site.

The role is primarily responsible for ensuring the integrity of the monthly financial reporting to trial balance and producing the statutory accounts for the Charity and Trading Subsidiary. It also includes supporting the management and continuous development of the finance systems and processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Management of year end audit and production of statutory accounts including liaison with auditors, dealing with queries and management of the year end timetable.
• Completion of a timely month end process to trial balance stage, which includes a review of our monthly nominal activity report before month end close
• Ensuring that all balance sheets accounts are reconciled monthly, and any differences are dealt with accordingly, including bank reconciliations, intercompany, fundraising income and restricted fund reports
• Responsible for Quarterly VAT Returns, management accounts for our Trading subsidiary and the reconciliation of the intercompany account with the Charity
• Processing of monthly journals including income and expenditure accruals, prepayments, quarterly depreciation, recharges and grant reporting
• Support the review and development of financial policies and procedures
• Work with the Head of Grants and Financial Controller of the Trust to ensure accurate cashflow forecasting for the Charity

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified or qualified by experience accountant with a desire to drive change in an organisation. Additional skills include highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise and work across different teams.

Responsibilities:

• Foster strong relationships across Commercial Finance, Planning, and Analysis, as well as the wider Finance team.
• Provide timely and insightful financial and business analysis to inform decision-making at the Board of Governors and Executive Leadership Team levels.
• Lead the development and execution of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Drive accountability for financial performance through the implementation of budgetary controls and governance mechanisms.

My client is looking for:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or relevant qualification.
• Experience in core accounting roles with a focus on month-end processes.
• Proficiency in Delivering a timely and robust budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning process.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems such as Agresso/Unit4 and TM1.

My client can offer a flexible approach to working, with 2 days a week going into the office based in central London and the rest working remotely. There is also a strong opportunity for this role to get extended or go permanent.
