We are looking for a Head of Fundraising who can galvanise support for our work from funders and donors, develop a high-performing fundraising team, and support colleagues in developing fundable projects to restore habitats, engage people and bring wildlife back. Overall Purpose of Job
To grow the Trust’s income to enable us to achieve our vision of restoring the abundance of wildlife throughout our area
Main Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the Trust’s fundraising, overseeing development of prospect pipelines and growing income year on year from membership, major donors, individual giving, legacies, corporate partnerships, grants and charitable trusts, ensuring that the Trust achieves its restricted and unrestricted income targets
• Inspire funding support for the Trust’s work through relationship-based fundraising with major donors, corporates and grant-making bodies
• Enable delivery colleagues to secure funding for their work, supporting the development of fundable projects and high quality bids and securing continuation funding
• Stimulate growth in individual giving from members and non-members through the development and implementation of an ambitious plan incorporating supporter development, recruitment and retention.
• Ensure fundraising systems are working effectively and all activity is compliant with the Trust’s policies, fundraising guidelines from regulators, and all relevant legislation, including Data Protection and Health and Safety.
• Manage an integrated functional team across fundraising, contribute to the direction and development of the Trust as a member of the leadership team and undertake other duties in line with the role as requested
We want to see nature restored on a grand scale across the Avon region. We have big plans between now and 2030 to see this happen.

The Richmond & Hounslow Methodist Circuit is looking for a reliable and committed individual to support the life and work of our group of churches in SW London. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper organisation and management of our finances to enable our mission.
Key responsibilities:
- overseeing the Circuit’s day to day financial management
- supervising payroll and staff expenses
- financial reporting
- working with our accountants to produce annual accounts
- helping the Circuit to plan for the future
- advising on all financial matters

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. The National Autistic Society is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Philanthropy Officer (Research) to contribute to the high-performing Philanthropy Team in the Fundraising and Supporter Relations department. The role offers an eclectic mix of responsibilities including an established portfolio of mid- and high-value major donors and small trusts and foundations. You will contribute to an ambitious yet exciting income target through both new business and account management responsibilities. Other responsibilities include leading on prospect research for the Philanthropy Team and supporting the Senior Philanthropy Manager and Special Events Manager on a small portfolio of high value events.

- At least two years’ experience in the fundraising sector (essential)
- Relevant experience of trust and statutory fundraising and /or experience of major donor fundraising (essential)
- Proven track record of raising income to target (essential)
- Experience of leading on funding bids (essential)
- Experiencing of writing compelling reports and updates to donors (essential)
- Experience of securing five or six figure gifts (desirable)
- Experience of devising and maintaining budgets (desirable)
- Educated to a degree level (desirable)
- The ability to communicate confidently with individuals at all levels (essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to inspire through developing compelling cases for support (essential)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload, deal with conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines and KPIs (essential)
- Creative and energetic (essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (essential)
- Experience of Raiser’s Edge (desirable)
- Knowledge and understanding of autism (desirable)
Where and when you will be working
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) based in our Head Office in London (Shoreditch) with the opportunity to work from home three or four days per week.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and operations, this role will ensure that appropriate financial processes and systems are followed and developed to support our charity’s sustainable growth and safeguard our financial health. The Finance & Payroll Officer will ensure that financial tasks and transactions are undertaken in an efficient, effective and timely manner and, importantly, that relevant financial information is provided to keep the Senior Leadership Team informed to make the best decisions for the charity. The role will also cover responsibility for all payroll operations, ensuring that all payments are accurate and on time and that appropriate and accurate information is provided to the Director of Finance & Operations, HMRC, pension providers and other external bodies. We are looking for a confident and experienced individual to join our supportive team. Previous charity finance knowledge and Xero is helpful but not essential, above all we want an individual to be tenacious, curious, diligent and show strong initiative.
