The Findhorn Foundation, an internationally renowned centre for spiritual development in
northern Scotland, is inviting applications for a key role in our Philanthropy Team. The role
has tremendous scope to further the Foundation’s mission, its organisational capabilities and
to make a difference in the world, by raising the income that we require to fund our work.

oriented, mission-driven work environment. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you will
contribute fully to the development and delivery of the Foundation’s fundraising strategy and

Maximise income growth from our individual supporters, in line with our vision, purpose,
mission and ‘Common Ground’ principles.
The Philanthropy Manager (Individual Giving) is responsible for managing the design, delivery and evaluation of the foundation’s approach to individual giving; growing the foundation’s unrestricted income portfolio; and, supporting co-workers, focalisers, stewards, trustees, and partners to engage proactively with individual donors.
Manage the design, delivery, and evaluation of the foundation’s approach to individual giving (40% of time)
Develop and deliver the foundation’s unrestricted income strategy and annual plans
Lead the drafting, submission and uploading of individual giving communications, including on social media, and manage appropriate responses as required
Attend donor and other networking events as needed
Ensure that feedback and learning from our approach to individual giving is shared and acted on across the Foundation.
2. Grow the Foundation’s unrestricted income portfolio (40% of time)
Research new funding opportunities, and build open, transparent, and trusting relations with new individual donors
Monitor and track the progress of individual donors, supporting them to become higher-value, more regular and legacy givers
Monitor and track individual income growth, reporting progress and learning to the Head of Philanthropy each month.
3. Support co-workers, focalisers, stewards, trustees, and partners to engage proactively with individual donors (20% of time)
Alert respective focalisers/stewards to potential opportunities and ensure relevant teams are mobilised to deliver high quality solicitations in a timely manner
Increase awareness among co-workers, focalisers, stewards, trustees, and partners about their role in individual giving and accompany them when engaging with high-value individual donors
Coordinate fundraising campaigns in collaboration with other departments
