Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

First Step is excited to receive applications from candidates with the appetite, courage and commitment to lead and deliver its vision, strategy and operations, and make a difference to the lives of men and boys affected by sexual abuse and violence.

Our CEO will be self-motivated with a strong track record of delivering services in the charity and or not for profit sector in a senior management position. We are looking for the right person who aligns with the charity’s culture and values who also has a strong passion in developing the organisation to realise its longer-term ambitions to reach more male survivors who need our services.

Working in a small charity, no two days are the same. The ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively under pressure and multi-task is important, but candidates do not need to be an expert in all areas.

Working alongside the board of trustees, staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries, candidates will be expected to utilise their skills, experience, and passion to create social impact and meaningful change, whilst maintaining a focus on securing funding, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.
