Youth Participation Officer (Part Time)
Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for a passionate and organised project officer and facilitator to assist in delivering an exciting youth leadership programme in Camden. If you are experienced in supporting youth led practice and youth action programmes we would love to hear from you!
Fitzrovia Youth in Action (FYA) is central London’s leading youth action charity that empowers children and young people to overcome the barriers they face, fulfil their potential and create positive change in their local community. The successful candidate will help lead different pieces of work on the youth leadership programme. The programme consist of the following:
Camden Health Champions - aims to empower young people to have a say in local decision making and increase awareness of local health issues and services
FYA Ambassadors – alumni youth action volunteers help make decisions for the organisation and carry out peer reviews and consultations
Youth-led Community Events - young people work together to organise and host a range of popular community festivals and events
Warren Centre – we will open a ‘youth action innovation hub’ in early 2020 where young people will receive the resources and support to create projects which address issues they are passionate about. There will be a youth management committee and different youth action teams across the year to support.

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 24 hrs p/w
