The role

Job Purpose
Sitting within BSR’s exciting External Affairs & Audit team the Clinical Audit Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the on-going work of the National Early Inflammatory Arthritis Audit (NEIAA) to gather evidence and drive up the quality of care for patients living with inflammatory arthritis. With touch points across the Rheumatology community, the NHS and health regulators, the NEIAA project is an essential tool in achieving this part of our five-year strategy. At a busy and important time for the NEIAA project this is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to develop their organisational, project management and stakeholder relation skills as we work towards producing our 6th ‘State of the Nation’ report and securing an extension of the Audit contract.
Main responsibilities
- To provide administrative support to the NEIAA project manager such as setting up business processes, engaging with stakeholders and managing the audit mailbox as the first point of contact.
- Liaise with the governance groups for the audit project and assist with the coordination of NEIAA meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and undertaking follow-up actions.
- To assist in the development of communications around the NEIAA project including with the Annual Report.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to encourage participation with the audit from Trusts and Health Boards.
- To support the project manager in the planning and smooth running of the NEIAA project plan.

Providing comprehensive support to our Shops and Retail function is what’s required here. You’ll be the first point of contact for staff, customers and supporters and also be responsible for all aspects of the shop supplies orders process - from price checking to placing orders. Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and to their friends, families and carers. You won’t be providing support to callers; however you will need to have an empathetic approach whilst explaining that you will arrange a support call back from one of our volunteers. You will action calls that come through on our admin line and manage our central email inbox, ensuring requests are actioned promptly. You will organise volunteer rotas, help with onboarding our volunteers and organise incoming and outgoing post. The postholder will take minutes at meetings, ensure the office is kept tidy and co-ordinate stock delivery for events and exhibitions.

They will possess excellent customer care skills, demonstrating a professional and empathetic telephone manner. Attention to detail is vital, along with strong time management abilities. While prior administration experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
Core role responsibilities
- To provide comprehensive administration to our support services and volunteer team, including the rest of the Colostomy UK team. To ensure the smooth running of office operations.
- Answering and re-directing incoming calls on our helpline and admin line, arranging support call backs from our team of volunteers with lived experience.
