Development Officer Jobs in Flexible Location
Do you excel in creating captivating digital content and have a track record of website optimisation?
Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with the Fundraising Regulator for the recruitment of a Digital Content Officer on a full-time permanent basis. The role is offered on hybrid basis with two days in the London office.
The Fundraising Regulator is an independent, non-statutory body that regulates fundraising across the charitable sector in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
The Fundraising Regulator is committed to diversity, equality and inclusion. They want their workforce to be truly representative of the society they are here to support and protect so that they’re able to regulate effectively. They also want each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. They do this by operating a fair and inclusive recruitment process, which aims to reach a diverse pool of candidates. This is also supported by a range of policies that encourage a flexible and supportive working environment.
The role includes working with the Communications Manager to boost the Fundraising Regulator’s digital footprint on various platforms, ensuring content is up-to-date, accessible, and engaging through diverse formats such as graphics and webinars. You will also oversee website management, content audits, and collaborations with web development teams for continual improvement in functionality, accessibility, and compliance. Social media strategy, content creation, engagement tracking, and digital marketing campaign execution are central to this role, alongside advising on digital initiatives and supporting team members.
The successful candidate should have proven experience in digital content and communications, preferably with some experience in web editing or similar in small to medium organisations. A strong understanding of digital trends and website content optimisation is crucial, with experience in a regulatory or charity environment beneficial. Essential skills include digital content creation, audit experience, technical website knowledge, and proficiency in content management systems (Drupal preferred), digital marketing platforms, and analytics tools. Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing software, SEO, and pay-per-click marketing, plus agency collaboration experience, are valued but not mandatory.
