A super exciting opportunity to lead, develop and manage FoodCycle’s programme team to achieve the aspirations of our organisation for 2021-2022 through Programme Development, effective coordination, consolidation, technical support and guidance by ensuring a cohesive team spirit and motivation to perform.
FoodCycle’s mission is to nourish the hungry and lonely in our communities with delicious meals and great conversation, using food which would otherwise go to waste. Currently as we transition from full lock down to normality we have two operating models; “Check-in-and-Chat” whereby volunteers make a weekly call to guests who are lonely and “Cook and Collect” designed to provide guests with the provision of a hot meal and additional food supplies. We anticipate being back to our community dining model across all locations by the end of August 2021.
This role reports to the CEO and is part of the SMT. The SMT meet weekly, and you will report to the Board of Trustees on a quarterly basis. The role takes overall responsibility for health and safety, food safety and safeguarding at projects and is pivotal to the smooth and efficient operation of FoodCycle’s services across the country.
