Hours of work: 40 hours per week (though we would be willing to consider a part-time role for the right candidate )

Job description: 

Founders4Schools are delighted to announce this exciting opportunity to join their fundraising team. Responsible for implementing the fundraising strategy for the organisation, we are looking for a resourceful fundraiser to help us generate new income so we can help raise the aspirations of more children and young people across the country. 

Founders4Schools is an award-winning educational-tech charity which connects children and young people with inspirational role models to raise their aspirations, to fulfil their potential and to prepare them for the rapidly changing world of work. We have created a simple, free-to-use digital platform which enables teachers all over the UK to connect with employers and professionals in their local community. Our work aims to tackle inequality by providing equal access to the world of work, to support young people by connecting what they learn at school with future careers and to provide young people with the confidence they need to take their first steps into the workplace. 

The successful candidate will have considerable experience of fundraising, a proven track record of winning and delivering partnerships with companies and some experience in writing successful bids for trusts and foundations. 

We are looking for a self-starter with experience in setting up and expanding a prospect pipeline, managing internal and external stakeholders and excellent communication skills. 

Main duties: 

  • Manage and develop a pipeline of new funding opportunities 

  • Create engaging plans for all prospects including a case for support

  • Develop successful proposals and bids for corporates to secure long-term partnerships

  • Work closely with colleagues to develop our corporate partnership strategy 

  • Cultivate strong relationships with funders

  • Develop effective stewardship plans to develop new and existing relationships to maximise future funding potential. 

  • Support the organisation and management of donor engagement events

  • Identify opportunities for us to apply to trusts and foundations and write compelling funding bids on behalf of the organisation.

  • To report to and work with the Director of Fundraising


Person Specification


Personal track record of delivering against set income targets

Experience of identifying and building relationships with new fundraising prospects. 

Extensive experience in building successful corporate partnerships and sponsorship packages

Excellent verbal and written skills

Convincing presentation and negotiation skills


Experience in organising and managing donor events

Proven ability to work with colleagues from a range of disciplines

To be passionate about raising the aspirations of children and young people. 



Experience of winning ‘Charity of the Year’ bids

Considerable experience of creating successful fundraising bids and delivering income from trusts and foundations
