Thanks to National Lottery players, Foxhill Forum secured a grant of £256,108 over 4 years from the National Lottery Community Fund to develop and deliver the Reaching Out Community Befriending Service from April 2018.
The service works with and support socially isolated local people (those identified as the hardest to reach) through befriending and low-level interventions, developing their confidence either in their own home or another venue and offering tailored support encouraging them to participate in wider community opportunities improving their mental and emotional wellbeing.
We are looking to recruit a Community Wellbeing Officer to join our front-line delivery team. The post is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in making a difference to the lives of others.
The post holder, who will report to the Chief Executive, will be responsible for developing and building productive relationships with isolated local people, supporting them to develop their confidence through taster activities and interventions, and guide them towards accessing mainstream opportunities.
We are looking for a natural and effective communicator, someone who is motivating and encouraging and has an interest in supporting and developing others.
