We are looking to recruit a dynamic, innovative and experienced leader to manage all aspects of our strategy and operation. FRAME is a small research charity committed to replacing the use of animals in scientific experiments. We have undergone a significant restructuring over the past two years that has resulted in the development of this critical and exciting new role. For the right person this will provide scope to develop their role in order to support the Board of Trustees in driving the charity forward.Our current operations include fundraising, education, publicity & marketing, delivery of an annual training school, publication of our own scientific journal, ATLA (through a third party) and allocation of scientific research grants.
We seek an all-rounder who can drive excellence in strategic planning, governance, fundraising, financial management and HR. The successful applicant will come with proven senior administrative, leadership and management ability, demonstrated within the third sector. The role will involve the responsibility for the overall operations of the charity ensuring compliance with all our legal requirements, therefore a good working knowledge and understanding of charity law and governance is essential.
You will be educated to degree level in a STEM subject and have excellent interpersonal and public engagement skills. You will be able to demonstrate experience of managing people, projects and budgets successfully. Good communication skills and experience of fundraising are essential. As an individual you will be highly self-motivated, able to work from a home office environment alone and in concert with others, and capable of working with people at all levels of seniority. A postgraduate qualification – in biological or biomedical science/public engagement of science or a related discipline – would be desirable. Critical to this role is a drive and a passion to further the aims of our charity.
This is a part time position that can offer flexible working and would suit someone with extensive varied experience in senior level charity positions.
