ACTIVITIES WORKER, YOUNG PEOPLE’S SERVICES, COVERING NOTTINGHAMSHIRE AND DERBYSHIRE, PERMANENT, 37 HPW AND 30HPW, FRWK03 £16,296 - £17,811 FTE (PRO-RATED RATE OF PAY: £13,212-£14,441)

We have an exciting new opportunity for two, dynamic and hardworking individuals to lead the delivery of a programme of activities to young people living in Framework’s accommodation services in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Framework is a charity delivering housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs. We empower people to achieve financial stability, social inclusion and independence. As an Activities Worker for young people you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a range of activities to some of the hardest to reach homeless young people. You will empower them to build confidence, self-esteem, communication and life skills to improve social inclusion and enable a move towards independent living. 

This job might be for you if:

You understand what makes young people tick and how to engage them, especially those hardest to reach.

You are great at helping people to learn new skills. You may come from a background in youth work, or have experience of working in young people’s accommodation services.

You have a good sense of humour, are non-judgemental and a good listener.

You communicate clearly on all levels. You write well and can explain just about anything to anyone.

You enjoy managing your own workload and thrive in a constantly evolving environment. You are proactive and keen to take on new challenges.

The role will be working with groups of young people from Framework’s Young Person’s accommodation services which are located in various areas across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire therefore a drivers’ licence and car available for work is essential.
