COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT, OPPORTUNITY NOTTINGHAM, PERMANENT,

21 HPW (THERE IS SOME FLEXIBILTY ON DAYS BUT IDEALLY SHOULD INCLUDE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY) FRWK05 £17,811 - £19,514 FTE (PRO-RATED RATE OF PAY: £10,108 - £11,075),

Opportunity Nottingham is recruiting a Communications Assistant to support the communications function of the project. 

Opportunity Nottingham is part of the National Fulfilling Lives Programme and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund until 2022.

The project exists to improve the lives of people with multiple and complex needs in Nottingham City, and delivers its work through a partnership of local agencies, of which Framework is the lead Partner. Beneficiaries of Opportunity Nottingham experience at least three out of the following four complex needs; homelessness, substance misuse, offending, and mental ill health.

A key aim of Opportunity Nottingham is to create system change, influencing key decision-makers such as Commissioners and MPs, in order to improve the services and systems that people with multiple and complex needs access.

The communications function plays an important part in achieving system change, ensuring that key project learnings reach carefully targeted stakeholders.

The role of Communications Assistant will support the Communications Officer across a number of communications channels, specifically; social media, internal communications, events and website content.

The ability to listen to a person’s journey, and appropriately re-tell it for communications purposes is essential. Up to date knowledge of social media channels (notably Twitter), is also key to successful delivery of the role.
