Job Description

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT AND LIFE SKILLS WORKER. OPPORTUNITY, NOTTINGHAM. 25 HPW WORKING MONDAY - FRIDAY, FRWK07 £19,514 - £21,247 FTE (£13,185 – 14,356 PRO RATA). TEMPORARY CONTRACT UNTIL 30TH JUNE 2022

Opportunity Nottingham is part of the National Lottery Community Funded Fulfilling Lives Programme, working to support people in Nottingham City who have multiple complex needs (a combination of mental ill-health, substance misuse, homelessness and offending).

The project is funded until the end of June 2022 and aims to work with people who are socially excluded and who are traditionally unable to successfully engage with front line treatment and support services. A key part of the programme is about finding ways to successfully support and engage people to access support and treatment and to use the learning to bring about wholesale system change.

A new delivery model is currently being implemented which will see the creation of a new “lived experience” team. The post holder will be required to ensure that people who are supported on the programme are able to access a full range of meaningful and structured activities, including education, training, employment and life skills.
