Job Description

NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER, FOREST ROAD SERVICE, FRWK03 £16,296 - £17,811 FTE, PERMANENT, 37 HPW (7.5% ENHANCEMENT FOR HOURS WORKED BETWEEN 10.00PM – 7.00AM)

Forest Road is a 15 bed supported housing service for adults with multiple support needs including drug, alcohol, mental health and rough sleeping.

The successful applicants will join a dedicated team delivering housing related support to this client group; supporting individuals to achieve goals detailed in their support plan.  The aim of the service is to equip individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence to be able to live independently.  The successful applicants will have a role to play in identifying and moving individuals into specialist second stage services or their own independent accommodation.

We are looking for reliable and self-motivated candidates who have experience of working within an accommodation based service. An understanding of the issues facing people affected by homelessness, and an awareness of the support needs the client group presents with is essential. You will be working towards objectives laid out in support plans to support service users to achieve change.

The main functions of this role will be;

  • to build the skills of service users to empower them to maximise their independence
  • to contribute to the achievement of contractual service obligations
  • to work in partnership with other services to maximise service delivery
  • to assess individual service user’s skills and needs and to work positively with risk
  • to support service users to engage with the move on process
  • To engage in the day to day running of the service
