Job description


The London Road Service is the first step towards independent living for single homeless people in Nottingham City. We provide short-term accommodation and support to assist people in making positive changes to their lives. The service is made up of 45 units of accommodation.

We are looking for reliable and self-motivated candidates who have experience of working within an accommodation based service.

The main functions of this role will be;

  • Supporting and signposting service users in providing support which may require liaising with staff

  • Requirement to monitor the entry door whilst performing other Health and Safety tasks such as ensuring visitors are signed in, and given radios.

  • Ensuring The Lone Working Procedure is followed by monitoring individual’s whereabouts and recording.

  • Communicates and co-ordinates appointments with various stakeholders and colleagues, and service users

  • Ordering stationary in a timely manner, and operating the room booking system.

  • Responsibility of administration tasks such as photocopying and printing.

  • Co-ordinating and facilitating visitors to the service to achieve the purpose of their visit.
