Substance Misuse Clinical Specialist with a specialist interest in Mental Health

Salary: (NHS) Band 6 £32,306 - £39,027 per annum

Permanent 37 hours per week 
Secondment considered

An exciting opportunity to join the Nottingham City Drug and Alcohol treatment pathway.

This role will work across the local Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) focusing on enhancing substance misuse capability within adult mental health services and improving the delivery of evidence-based care for service users with co-existing substance misuse/mental health. In addition, the post holder will provide mental health specialism within partner substance misuse services. 

The post holder will work with colleagues of all disciplines to develop knowledge, skills and confidence in working with people with substance misuse, ensuring that it remains a core aspect of the work of all clinicians. 

This role will be part of all age adult community mental health pathway and will straddle across locality-based Trust services and those within partner substance misuse services, acting as a bridge and promoting seamless pathways. 

Role Context: 

The role requires a clinician who has experience of recovery focused working with service users who have co-existing mental health and substance misuse. The expectation will be that the post holder will work across all key delivery areas within the Local Services Division of the Trust and partner substance misuse services. The successful applicant will support the wider service area in relation to education and training and contribute to the on-going substance misuse strategy.
