Job description


Brighter Futures is a floating support service working with adults affected by a learning disability, autistic spectrum condition or acquired brain injury. Through a combination of one to one support, and opportunities to get involved in groups, activities and learning we empower people to live in the community with greater independence and improved quality of life.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about promoting independence and opportunity for our service users to join our team. Brighter Futures operates mainly Monday to Friday during office hours with agile working opportunities.

We work with individuals across Nottinghamshire, with an office base in Mansfield. Travel expenses are paid but you will need either a current driving licence and access to a car or means to travel to multiple locations during the working day, many of which are not accessible by public transport.

In addition to holding their own caseload as support planner you will triage referrals into the service, conduct individual needs assessments and produce and review individually tailored support plans.

Excellent rapport building and verbal and written communication skills are vital, as is the ability to work effectively with the wider team. A good understanding of the barriers our client group face as well as knowledge of benefit processes, housing law, debt support and any other issues related to a person’s ability to live independently is also required.
