What you'll do
Optivo’s in-house charity Fresh Visions supports children, young people and adults who face extreme disadvantage as a result of poverty, domestic abuse, lack of education and social exclusion. We have a fantastic new opportunity for a part-time Fundraising and Digital Communications Officer to join us.
You’ll focus on delivering on two key areas of our charities programme. Firstly, you will help to deliver and grow a variety of fundraising projects and income in a post COVID 19 environment. This will be achieved through supporter led activity, online fundraising and businesses in line with the Fresh Visions Charity strategy. Secondly, you’ll have responsibility for developing and maintaining our strong digital content to raise awareness and deliver our fundraising objectives.
What you'll need
- A relevant professional qualification or work experience in the fundraising field
- Experience of fundraising events management, monitoring and evaluation
- Effective written, oral and social media communication skills
- An enthusiastic approach to fundraising and working within the charity sector
- The ability to work on your own initiative and meet deadlines with good attention to detail and creative problem solving skills
What’s in it for you?
You’ll enjoy a great salary and benefits package, including 27 days (rising to 30 days) (pro rata) plus bank holidays, and a day off for your birthday. You can also buy and sell leave up to 5 days. We have generous pension and life assurance schemes too, plus a cycle to work scheme and travel loans. Add in a healthcare cash plan covering dental, glasses, physiotherapy, vaccinations, 24 hour GP and more, plus various high street discounts, (not to mention flexible working and in house career development opportunities). If you are passionate about what you do and share our ambitions, we look forward to hearing from you.
Inclusion and Diversity
At Optivo we work hard to create a diverse and inclusive culture and environment where people are respected for who they are. Encouraging inclusion is not just about protected characteristics, it’s about celebrating differences of thought, opinion, experience and perspective of each individual. We’re all different in our own way and we want our colleagues to feel comfortable, that they belong, and are safe to be themselves at work, without fear of being judged or excluded, but valued for their contribution to our One Team approach.
Closing date for applications: Thursday 20 May 2021. Shortlisting will conclude week ending Friday 28 May 2021. Interviews will take place through Microsoft Teams video link on Monday 7th & Tuesday 8th June 2021.
