Job Description

Grassroots Development Coordinator

Fixed term contract up to 12mths

28hrs per week

£33,480 to £35,480 pro rata (£26,784 to £28,384 per annum)

Location-Manchester or Leeds

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Grassroots Development Coordinator to join us on a fixed term contract up to 12mths

As Grassroots Development Coordinator you’ll be responsible for supporting our grassroots movement in the North region to grow and develop, ensuring the network is able to campaign effectively.

Working closely with regional Campaign Organisers, you’ll train and support existing activists and local groups whilst identifying new areas to build and strengthen the movement across the region.

We’re looking for a passionate, committed justice activist with significant experience in developing and supporting grassroots activists to take on this exciting new role.

You’ll have a solid understanding of how people-powered movements are built and grown, as well as in-depth knowledge of a variety of activism approaches, including innovative online & offline methods. You’ll be a confident facilitator with experience in developing training and coaching programmes for activists.

You’ll also be a passionate advocate for bottom-up, people-powered movements, ensuring the voices of grassroots activists are at the centre of Friends of the Earth.
