World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.

About World Child Cancer

Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.

World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.

Overview of the role

This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.

You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. We are looking for someone experienced in corporate and philanthropy fundraising, who is proactive, confident in engaging with high value funders, able to develop strong internal and external relationships, has strong verbal and written communication skills, a collaborative way of working and experience in developing new business.

You will join a small but ambitious and high performing team that contributes significantly to World Child Cancer’s annual income of c. £2m.

Reporting to: Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships

Essential

Educated to degree level or equivalent

A proven track record in corporate and major gift fundraising with evidence of successful solicitation of six figure gifts and multi-year gifts

Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability and confidence to interact with new and existing high value funders

Experience of successfully developing cultivation plans to engage new funders

Ability to research and identify potential new funders

Ability to translate complex, specialist information into accessible and compelling pitches, proposals and reports

Standing Voice is looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager based in or near London to join our UK team. This is an exciting and challenging role in a creative and focused working environment, within an organisation with multiple programmes and funding streams across 3 countries. The Office Coordinator position is responsible for the general day-to-day operations of the London, UK office.  Due to the nature of this position, work must generally be performed within a 30 hours / week timeframe (M-Fri). This role is an in-office role.

Office Administrator - Donor Communications and Volunteer Liaison

Friends of the Holy Land are looking for an energetic, dedicated individual to join our fast-moving, growing charity.

Friends of the Holy Land has a small network of volunteer supporters around the country and an expanding number of financial donors. This new role will be responsible for communicating with these two communities, with a focus on preparing monthly emails to supporters, monitoring and moderating social media accounts, liaising with external partners to deliver external communications, developing donor stewardship and growing our volunteer network.

Arthritis Action is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and adaptable Office Administrator to join our team and ensure the smooth running of our office.

This is a varied and integral role providing administrative support to Arthritis Action’s Finance, Executive Management, Services Teams and Trustees, working under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

About Arthritis Action

Our vision is for people to live active lives, free from the impact of arthritis. We want to empower people with arthritis to take control of their lives, manage their condition and reduce the need for medical intervention.

Founded in 1942, Arthritis Action is the only UK charity giving hands-on, practical help to combat the pain of arthritis through self-management and lifestyle advice. We offer people with arthritis a holistic self-management approach, looking at both the physical and mental aspects of arthritis.

Our self-management approach encompasses a wide array of services, including personal dietary and nutritional advice, and access to physical therapies with approved practitioners. We also offer people in various communities the opportunity to take part in self-management events and online groups. Through our approach, we help people with arthritis gain the knowledge and confidence to manage their condition themselves, and enjoy a more active life with less pain.

We’re looking for someone to support our exectutive office. You'll be someone who is able to provide a high level of professional support to the Chief Executive in the effective management of their calendar, correspondence, as well as committee support of the Board of Trustees and it's subcommittees. This role is also responsible for accreditations and managing ad-hoc projects.

Key Information

• Salary: Grade 2.1 - £27,500 raising to Grade 2.2 - £29,592 after 3 months successful probation (pro-rata if part-time)
• Contract: Fixed-term until 25 July 2025
• Hours: Full-time or Part-time (depending on the wishes of the successful applicant)
• Location: Lampeter with hybrid / home working
• Reporting to: Chief Executive

Key duties

1.  To provide high level professional administrative assistance to the Chief Executive, SMT, and Sabbatical Officers.
2.  To be responsible for keeping the records and supporting the regular business of the Trustee Board and Subcommittees.
3.  To project manage submissions for accreditations i.e. SOS UK Green Impact, Quality Students’ Unions, etc

Essential Criteria

• Ability to read and write fluently to an exemplary standard in English
• Ability to read and write at a basic conversational level in Welsh
• Good general education i.e. A-levels, including English and Welsh to at least to GSCE or equivalent
• Awareness of the 1994 Education Act (Part II)
• Previous experience of providing high level administrative support to senior staff as well as diary management
• Previous experience of servicing multiple committees
• Demonstratable expert knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Teams
• Ability to maintain extreme sensitivity and confidentiality
• Be committed to social inclusion, diversity, and equity

Desirable Criteria

• Knowledge of, and experience in delivering, the statutory requirements of Companies House and/or the Charity Commission
• Experience of supporting recruitment of external trustees
• Experience of editing web content through WYSIWYG
• Experience of submitting evidence for and projecting managing accreditations

We are looking to appoint an exceptional and dynamic leader to join our senior management team during a period of change and improvement in our Fitness to Practise Team.

The Role

Are you passionate about ensuring high standards of care in pharmacy services? Do you thrive in a dynamic regulatory environment where your leadership can drive positive change? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Professional Regulations Manager at the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

As a Professional Regulations Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams who carry out investigations through to the final Fitness to Practise hearings as well as matrix management across the fitness to practise function. You will be expected to lead as a technical expert in either Quality or Emerging Areas, supporting the Heads of Professional Regulation at a strategic level, playing a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of care for people using pharmacy services.

This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our pre-employment due diligence.

The successful applicant will:

• Effectively lead and manage a team, ensuring the team and individuals meet targets, whilst supporting, developing, and coaching them.
   
• Need excellent communication and people management skills to lead teams through our planned change agenda.  Be self-driven, progress orientated and passionate about our work with acquired knowledge of health regulation to work collaboratively across the wider fitness to practise function.
   
• Have experience of making proportionate evidence-based decisions under pressure, whilst being solutions focused, striving to ensure cases are completed in line with quality, timeliness, and cost objectives.
   
• Champion change and drive improvements in service delivery. Represent or deputise for the Head of Professionals Regulation and other managers, whilst leading on new and emerging areas of concern and the strategy and approach for investigating these developing areas.
   
• Be a decision maker and responsible for high quality decisions in accordance with our processes and statutory objective of keeping patients safe.
