About you

Main duties of the job

• Provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including, dealing with enquiries (postal, telephone, email, face to face), opening and sorting post.
• Work to build excellent relationships with donors to provide a high standard of customer care.

• 18-24 months of prior fundraising experience 

• Experience of successfully prospecting for, preparing and managing fundraising bids and stewarding funder/commissioner relationship

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Fundraising & Engagement Team. Claire House has an exciting new opportunity within our corporate fundraising team. We are looking to expand and develop this vital fundraising stream, to ensure we are able to provide the care and support to more children and families who need us most.

We are looking for an energetic  and enthusiastic ‘people person’ to make sure that every business we work with gets the best possible experience from supporting Claire House and to help them understand the difference they make to seriously and terminally ill children, ensuring they can live life to the full.

Previous fundraising experience is desirable, but someone with drive and passion is essential. Training and mentoring will be provided to develop the corporate fundraising skills, which set Claire House apart from other charities.

You will play a key role in delivering the corporate fundraising strategy, identifying gaps in the market, and seeking opportunities from both new and lapsed corporates. You will also have the ability to maximize income and will be responsible for developing existing relationships.

This role is full time 37.5 hours per week. This is a hybrid role, and you will work from both our Wirral and Liverpool sites, as well as out in the community.

Our centres provide an innovative education programme which includes practical learning support and motivational and confidence-building activities for children and young people aged 7-18. From Spring 2024 we will have forty-three centres and extension projects across England and Scotland, with a number of new centres planned for 2023-24, and ambitious plans to scale-up our provision further over the coming years.

We are looking for individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding role helping to change the lives of young people by taking up a temporary role as a part-time Programme Support Tutor working in our centre in Birmingham. You will work closely with our existing team, supporting the delivery and organisation of the IntoUniversity programme in the centre.
