This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and relationship-driven partnerships professional with a passion for gaming to join our Gaming team at a pivotal moment of growth. You will help grow income and impact through gaming, building relationships with developers, publishers, platforms, creators and gaming communities to deliver creative and effective fundraising partnerships.
As Gaming Partnerships Executive, you will manage and grow a portfolio of existing gaming partners, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and maximise their involvement in War Child campaigns. You will also support new business development, helping to build a strong pipeline of prospective partners and contributing to outreach, pitching and securing new collaborations.
Working closely with the Gaming Lead and wider Philanthropy and Partnerships department, you will help shape and deliver innovative campaigns at the intersection of gaming, streaming and digital fundraising. This includes supporting key partnerships such as Jingle Jam and contributing to campaign planning and delivery across the gaming calendar.
You will act as a visible ambassador for War Child within the gaming industry, attending events, building new connections and raising the profile of our work to unlock new opportunities for collaboration and income generation.
As part of our growing Philanthropy and Partnerships department, you will work closely with colleagues across Partnerships, Communications and Digital Marketing to develop strong pitches, proposals and activations that deliver real impact for children affected by war.
The team regularly comes together in our London office for collaboration, meetings and relationship-building, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend these in person where appropriate.

Your role
The Gaming Partnerships Executive will work closely with the Gaming Lead to grow the team’s income sustainably by focusing primarily on business development and managing a portfolio of gaming relationships. You will seek out and build new relationships with developers, games publishers, platforms and gaming communities to contribute to the pipeline of new gaming partnerships and opportunities for War Child. You will also manage a portfolio of gaming relationships that will be called on to join our campaigns and activations throughout the year. As a key member of War Child’s award-winning Gaming team, you will have a direct impact on the lives of children who have been affected by conflict.
Your responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of gaming sector relationships, developing long-term engagement plans and identifying opportunities in support of our campaigns to increase strategic and income value..
- Support the delivery of our strategic partnership with Jingle Jam, as directed by the Gaming Partnerships Manager.
- With the Gaming Lead, build a pipeline of prospective gaming partners inclusive of developers, publishers, creators, platforms and the wider gaming community to support the sustainable growth of the Gaming Team.
- Personally lead on researching, approaching and securing new gaming partners, working towards your own new business target annually.
- Contribute to the development of pitches, proposals, cultivation plans and presentations to potential gaming partners
- Work collaboratively with the Gaming Team on developing and implementing the campaigns calendar.
- Build strong relationships with other teams in War Child (Partnerships, Communications, Digital Marketing), representing the Gaming Team where appropriate in working groups to enable smooth delivery of propositions, pitches, activations and campaigns.
- Act as a War Child Ambassador in the gaming industry, attending events and conferences to raise the profile of War Child and make new connections to support business development.
- Support the marketing and promotion of all gaming activations to maximise audience engagement.
- Contribute to team-wide income forecasting and annual planning processes.
- Use all tools available to ensure compliance and our ethical fundraising policy are adhered to, this includes partnership agreements, due diligence processes, CRM database management as well as GDPR and fundraising regulations.

You are
- Knowledgeable about gaming or have worked in the sector and can demonstrate understanding of how to harness gaming communities and the industry more widely for fundraising purposes.
- Familiar with digital marketing and gaming platforms & services, e.g. Steam, Twitch, YouTube, Discord and Tiltify.
- Awareness of creator-led fundraising and community-driven campaigns and wider gaming culture.
- Able to demonstrate success in achieving financial targets through partnership management, account management, business development or sales activity, including identifying and developing new opportunities.
- An excellent communicator, confident in building and managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Able to use audience insight, engagement data or campaign performance metrics to inform partnership activity and decision-making.
- Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to develop new commercial ideas and translate into proposals that achieve results
- Proactive with a growth mindset, capable of managing and prioritising your own workload to ensure new business targets are met.

Job purpose
Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, the Fundraising Officer will help support Rosa’s major donor and corporate fundraising at an exciting point in our growth.
Working across philanthropy, corporate partnerships, donor stewardship, events and prospect development, you will play a key role in helping us build strong supporter relationships and grow income to power Rosa’s mission. This is a varied and developmental role, offering the chance to work across every stage of the donor journey while building specialist fundraising skills in a high-ambition, values-led team.
It is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step up from a fundraising assistant/ coordinator or similar role and take on broader responsibility in a national organisation with a clear purpose. Key responsibilities
- Excellent stewardship of major donor and corporate relationships, including keeping donors up to date with Rosa’s work through events and meetings, written reports and newsletters
- Manage a portfolio of individual donors, major donors and corporates
- Coordinate and deliver successful in person donor engagement events, currently twice a year with one large event in March and a smaller event in November
- Build a strong prospect pipeline of corporate donors by undertaking prospect research and contributing to new business pitches
- Undertake prospect research and compelling donor briefings for new major donors and new giving circle members (Thrive Network)
- Maintain high quality CRM records to record each stage of donors’ journeys and supporting the transition to a new CRM (Beacon)

- Confidence in building relationships with external stakeholders
- Attention to detail in recording and tracking interactions with donors and prospects
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Role purpose
The Senior Challenge Fundraising Officer will lead the delivery and growth of APF’s third-party and mass participation challenge events portfolio.
This role exists to significantly grow income and participation by managing end-to-end third-party challenge events, developing community-facing charity-owned fundraising products and delivering excellent supporter stewardship
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and colleagues across Communications, Services and the Operations Team, you will increase recruitment, empower supporters to raise ambitious funds, and create journeys that encourage long-term engagement with APF.
Success in this role means more people fundraising for APF, raising more income and feeling valued, supported and inspired to stay connected to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Grow participation in third party
- Manage the full lifecycle of third-party and mass participation challenge events, from planning and recruitment through to stewardship and re engagement.
- Develop and execute creative marketing strategies to boost participation and attract new event participants.
- Draft engaging promotional content that inspires and engages our supporters in collaboration with the Communications team.
- Promote third-party events proactively across relevant channels and networks.
- Work with the wider Fundraising team to improve and refine the stewardship journey for challenge participants to maximise the participant experience.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow participation in new and existing events.
- Attend key events as required, managing on-the day logistics and volunteer coordination.
2. Community Product Development
- Work with Head of Fundraising to shape and improve APF’s fundraising offer and remote products.
- Test and refine new fundraising concepts that increase accessibility and broaden participation.
- Work collaboratively across teams to ensure our community fundraising products align with wider campaigns and strategic priorities.
3. Income growth and fundraiser mpowerment
- Inspire participants to achieve ambitious fundraising targets through engaging, creative communications.
- Develop and enhance fundraising materials, including participant packs and digital resources to support our fundraisers.
- Use insight and sector trends to identify opportunities to boost event visibility and maximise fundraising efforts.
- Monitor fundraising performance to ensure we’re meeting targets and delivering strong ROI on our challenge activities.
4. Stewardship and re-engagement
- Foster personal connections with supporters through thoughtful, tailored stewardship that keeps them engaged and feeling valued.
- Create clear re-engagement plans to encourage repeat participation and long-term loyalty.
- Collaborate with wider Fundraising and Services teams to support acquisition and ensure our supporters have a smooth, high-quality supporter journey.
- Represent APF publicly when required, acting as a confident ambassador for the charity at events and in public settings.
5. Data, insight and compliance
- Support on the management of CRM data to enable accurate segmentation, performance tracking and reporting.
- Monitor recruitment, participation, income and ROI to help inform future planning and improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge with GDPR regulations and compliance and ensure personal data is handled responsibly and securely.
- Work closely with the Governance and Operations Manager to ensure our fundraising activities are fully compliant with GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.

The Public Interest News Foundation (PINF) is the UK’s first charity that exists to promote high-quality journalism. Last year, we launched an ambitious ten-year mission to regenerate local news in the UK. We believe that local news is a vital part of the fabric of local communities, drawing people together around shared facts and pride in place at a time of disinformation and division.

Purpose of the Role
The Programmes Officer will support the PINF team across our three workstreams: the Local News Fund; Local News Campaign; and Local News Futures programme.
· Through the Local News Fund, we work with grantmakers and social investors (including government-backed fund managers) to unlock new economic resources for local news across the UK.
· Through the Local News Campaign, we work with the BBC, big tech firms, central and local government, MPs, Peers and regulators to shape a positive enabling environment for local news across the UK.
· Through the Local News Futures programme, we work with academics, civil society organisations, journalism support organisations and local news providers to showcase models of local news with the most positive impact.
The Programmes Officer will provide support with events, research and campaigns across these workstreams, and will also provide support with our organisational functions, including communications, fundraising and governance.
By providing efficient and effective support to the team, the Programmes Officer will unlock new potential for PINF to deliver our charitable purpose.
Key Responsibilities
Events
· Support the Deputy Director with the successful delivery of the annual Local News Forum by:
o Maintaining a comprehensive and up to date project plan
o Contributing to the effective marketing of the event within PINF’s network of independent local news providers and stakeholders
o Managing ticket sales and maintaining an accurate database of invitees and participants
o Contributing to effective working relationships with partners and suppliers, including venues and sponsors
o Managing speakers
o Supporting budget administration, including tracking agreed expenditure and processing spending in line with approved budgets and under the oversight of the Deputy Director
o Responding promptly and efficiently to queries
o Providing on-the-day support including registering participants, liaising with the venue and catering providers, ensuring smooth technical support and troubleshooting any issues as they arise
Research
· Support the Deputy Director with our research objectives by:
o Organising and minuting twice-yearly online meetings of our Research Advisory Group
o Working with colleagues to ensure the Local News Map is comprehensive and up to date
o Liaising with independent local news providers to support the new Local News Audit
Campaigns
· Support the Campaigns & Communications Manager with our campaign objectives by:
o Managing relationships with independent news providers participating in our annual Indie News Week
o Supporting budget administration for campaign activity, including tracking agreed expenditure and processing spending in line with approved budgets and under the oversight of the Campaigns & Communications Manager
o Supporting key campaign moments including parliamentary events, party conferences, roundtables and other online and offline events
o Providing logistical and administrative support for key campaign moments, including by maintaining participant and invitation lists, tracking RSVPs and preparing background information for colleagues
Communications
· Support the Campaigns & Communications Manager with our communications objectives by:
o Managing the ‘contact’ email inbox
o Supporting the delivery of engaging content across PINF’s blog and newsletter, including gathering stories, opportunities and other relevant material, in collaboration with the Campaigns & Communications Manager
o Managing PINF’s social media channels including LinkedIn, BlueSky and Instagram
o Updating elements and pages across our website
o Supporting PINF’s WhatsApp community of independent local news providers by sharing relevant content, helping eligible participants to join, and assisting with day-to-day moderation
Fundraising
· Support the Deputy Director with our fundraising objectives by:
o Maintaining the fundraising database and keeping records up to date based on information provided by colleagues
o Facilitating monthly internal fundraising meetings
Other
· Any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Deputy Director

The Fundraising Manager will have:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience; substantial practical fundraising experience is essential
- Significant, hands-on experience of delivering successful fundraising across multiple income streams in the UK charity sector (including community, corporate, events and philanthropy), with the capability to lead across all areas
- Proven track record of leading, motivating and developing teams, including effective management of people processes, to deliver strong results
- Demonstrate strong IT capability, including Microsoft 365 (particularly Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Excel and PowerPoint), with the ability to produce high-quality progress reports and presentations
