Chell Perkins Ltd are looking for FOUR people who are passionate about bringing positive change through fundraising. We want to nurture a new generation of fundraisers to provide charities with access to exceptional fundraising support.
We offer a four-month/16 week fully paid traineeship (approx £1,700pm gross) working with real clients in a fundraising consultancy and gaining a recognised certificate with education credits towards CFRE to give you a real headstart in working in the charity sector. There are a number of vacancies at Chell Perkins, and at the end of the course trainees will be eligible to apply for a permanent position.
This immersive programme starts on 2nd September 2024 and is home-based, with high-quality training and plenty of support from our experienced fundraising team.

Responsibilities:
- Lead research for grant opportunities from government and non-government bodies.
- Lead and project manage tenders and funding bids including bid writing and budget development on a timely basis.

About you

About the role and team
Working within the wider Supporter Acquisition and Retention teams, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging onboarding journeys for Shelter supporters, ensuring engagement is high throughout. Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Community Fundraising Manager. This full time, homebased position covering the North of England. The successful candidate will be supporting fundraisers locally as well as our shops and key services in the region. Candidates must be willing to travel to shops and services with the region as well as for team meetings in London and Birmingham, therefore a driving license and access to your own vehicle is advantageous. You will be joining a supportive team that works across regions and income streams to deliver the best possible experience for our growing number of supporters.
Key skills and experience
- Understanding of Community based fundraising trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to keep clear and accurate records, producing reports and analysis and presenting them in an effective way to stakeholders and Head of Team.
- Self-motivated and supportive to other team members.
- Extensive experience of recruiting, supporting and stewarding fundraisers or volunteers
- Extensive experience of building successful internal and external relationships
- Experience of managing multiple priorities simultaneously while still providing the highest level of customer care to all supporters
