Content and Communications Manager
£35,000-£40,000 (depending on experience)

As Content & Communications Manager, you will develop a communications plan and shape the way the Trust connects with its global alumni community, makes the case for support, and tells the story of its impact to donors, partners, and prospects.

Working closely with the CEO and Director of Alumni Engagement and Regular Giving, you will lead the development of high-quality content across the full fundraising lifecycle, from articulating a compelling Case for Support and crafting tailored donor materials, to designing campaigns that drive regular giving participation and ensuring every event is supported by communications that reinforce engagement and stewardship.

This is a role for a creative, audience-focused communicator who understands how great storytelling drives philanthropic action. You will own all communications channels, email, web, social and beyond, and act as the guardian of the Trust's tone, brand and editorial standards, ensuring that everything produced reflects the heritage, quality and ambition of one of Britain's most storied institutions.

The Grants and Trusts Manager will play a vital role in growing income from Charitable Trusts, Foundations, and Statutory funding by identifying new funding opportunities, developing compelling, high-quality funding applications, and delivering excellent stewardship. This role will support Lakeland Arts’ artistic, heritage, learning, and engagement programmes across our sites in the Lake District including Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house, Abbot Hall art gallery, and Windermere Jetty Museum. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop strong, place-based cases for support aligned with the charity’s strategic priorities. Key Responsibilities Trusts, Foundations & Statutory Fundraising • Identify, research, and qualify funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies – including Arts Council England - to support the conservation of our artistic, heritage, learning, and engagement activity. • Lead on writing and submitting high-quality funding applications, securing both unrestricted income and project-specific funding aligned with Lakeland Arts’ strategy. • Develop compelling proposals that clearly articulate the significance of our extensive collections, the benefit of public access to these and the value of our heritage, and community impact, using evaluation data, audience insight, and partnership testimonials. • Maintain ownership of a proactive and balanced funding pipeline, ensuring prospects are thoughtfully approached and progressed through the fundraising cycle. Stewardship, Reporting & Relationship Management • Steward a balanced portfolio of funders, building strong, long-term relationships through regular communication and engagement opportunities (including site visits where appropriate), while complying with funding agreements. • Maintain a clear calendar of applications, reports, renewals, and deadlines, ensuring all funder requirements are met to a high standard and on time. • Produce clear, engaging funder reports that demonstrate impact, successful financial management, and agreed outcomes. Internal Collaboration & Funding Priorities • Work collaboratively with colleagues across curatorial, participation & learning, conservation workshop, visitor experience, finance, and leadership teams to shape strong, well-informed funding bids. • Proactively gather information to ensure funding proposals reflect current and emerging organisational priorities. • Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture that values shared learning and cross-departmental working. Data, Systems & Performance Management • Use CRM systems to accurately record fundraising activity, funder communications, deadlines, and outcomes. • Track and analyse fundraising performance against income targets and KPIs, contributing to internal reporting, forecasting, and strategy reviews. • Ensure compliance with fundraising best practice, data protection, charity law, and internal policies and procedures. Representation & Wider Development Activity • Act as a confident and knowledgeable ambassador for Lakeland Arts, representing the charity at funder meetings, networking events, and sector committees. • Support wider development activity, including campaigns, events, and partnership work as required. • Provide administrative and project support to the Development team when needed. The Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to grow this vital area of income. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver our trusts and foundations strategy at a key point in our organisational development, helping to diversify income and support innovative, impactful programmes.

As Community Fundraising Officer you will play a vital role in generating income to support the work of this inspiring Hospice. We’re looking for a Regional Corporate Partnership Development Manager to help us strengthen and grow corporate fundraising delivered through the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Community Fundraising team, supporting our vision of a world where everyone has a healthier heart for longer.

About the role

As a Regional Corporate Partnership Development Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Corporate Partnership team, playing an essential role in building the capability, confidence and consistency of Fundraising Managers across the UK.

This role is all about empowering others to secure and grow high value corporate partnerships. Drawing on your own experience of winning and managing £50k+ partnerships, you’ll coach Fundraising Managers through the full corporate sales cycle from pipeline development and proposition shaping, to pitching, negotiation, contracting and stewardship.

You’ll design and deliver training, embed best practice processes, and create practical toolkits that strengthen regional corporate fundraising. You’ll also support account management activity, helping Fundraising Managers deliver excellent stewardship, renewal strategies and long term growth for existing partners.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you bring strong experience of securing high value corporate partnerships and a strong understanding of what excellent corporate fundraising looks like. You’ve personally identified opportunities, shaped propositions, pitched to senior decision makers and successfully closed significant partnerships.

Just as importantly, you have a coaching mindset. You enjoy and have experience developing others, sharing your expertise and helping Fundraising Managers build their confidence and capability.

• Proven experience winning high value corporate partnerships, with a strong track record of achieving financial targets while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Working arrangements

This is a field-based role covering the UK. You'll need to live in England or be able to relocate to this region. This role requires regular travel within England, and occasional travel to other parts of the UK. A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.

The Fundraising & Communications Cluster strengthens Embrace’s communication, education, and fundraising efforts to drive growth, so that more people engage with our content, more donors are attracted to support, and the UK church is more deeply engaged with the cause - enabling us to fund more work in the region and generate a deeper understanding of Christian service in the Middle East.

As Individual Giving Manager, you’ll help us grow sustainable income by keeping individual supporters inspired, informed and engaged - so they give again, stay longer, and deepen their support.

You will deliver an excellent supporter journey experience, project managing engaging and compelling direct and digital individual giving activity (including – but not limited to – appeals, regular giving conversion & upgrade, lapsed reactivation) and incorporating legacies marketing, raising more than £1m voluntary income each year.
