There is significant potential to be realised within the existing donor base of philanthropists and corporate supporters. As Fundraising Manager, you will support the team to develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with supporters, managing a small portfolio of your own donors and leading on the day-to-day contact with corporate partners and event sponsors.
As Fundraising Manager, you will:
- Manage a pool of HNWIs, corporate partners and event sponsors focusing on delivering compelling stewardship plans to deepen relationships with supporters and secure income
- Proactively identify and research major donor and corporate prospects, and develop individual cultivation plans to move along the pipeline
- Create high-quality and innovative pitches and presentations to engage prospective donors/partners
- Manage relationships with event sponsors ensuring key deliverables are met
- Support the delivery of Elephant Family’s renowned events, primarily focusing on managing the relationships with guests, event partners, and sponsors
- Work with the Programmes team to identify funding opportunities aligned to donors’ interests and current funding needs
- Take ownership of the database (Salesforce) ensuring donor records are up-to-date to allow for effective supporter communications and engagement
Ideal skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience of managing relationships with HNWIs and corporate partners at the 5-figure+ level
- Proven experience of soliciting and securing support from prospects
- Strong writing skills with ability to create engaging content, proposals, pitches, presentations, reports and other donor communications
- Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and proven ability to manage a varied workload
- Strong communication and networking skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders of all levels (SMT, Trustees, senior volunteers, donors, partners, colleagues)

Using a helicopter from 08:00 to sunset, and rapid response cars at night or in adverse weather situations, London’s Air Ambulance brings the hospital to the patient when time is critical.
The team, consisting of an advanced trauma doctor, paramedic and consultant on most missions, can perform treatments such as open heart surgery, blood transfusions and general anaesthetic by the roadside. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, their aim is to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
The fundraising team is in the final stages of their £15m Up Against Time appeal, of which high value played a key part. This role will see the team through the final few months of the appeal, and the subsequent transition to focusing on BAU fundraising.
This role will take over the stewardship of some donors, although the focus will be on leadership of the team and supporting them with their portfolios. You will lead a team of two, Philanthropy Manager (Major Donors) and Philanthropy Officer (Major Donors). Leadership skills are important, although we are open to candidates who have not managed before, or only managed one, who can showcase their transferable skills in this area.
As Senior Major Donor Manager, you will:
- Lead the major donor team, ensuring the programme is in a strong position
- Personally steward a small number of ultra high-value gifts (up to £1M)
- Support the team to deliver on the last few months of the Up Against Time appeal
- Work with the Head of the department to shape a strategy in line with the organisation’s new 15 yr strategy
- Work with the major donor team and prospect research and supporter experience teams to develop a robust pipeline
- Oversee the start of a mid-value programme (£1-5k level)
Ideal skills and experience:
- Significant experience of securing and maintaining relationships with (u)HNWIs, ideally at the £100k+ level
- Demonstrable experience of developing and monitoring budgets
- Understanding of pipeline monitoring and management
- Experience of line management – desirable, not essential

You should be persuasive and credible with all audiences, including those at the highest level, both internally and externally. You should also have the ability to disseminate and present complex information clearly and compellingly.
You should also be able to work effectively under pressure and to prioritise workload. We are working in partnership with RABI who are looking to appoint an Individual Giving Fundraiser to join their team. In this newly created role, the Individual Giving Fundraiser will be primarily responsible for developing and managing individual giving income, in conjunction with other fundraising disciplines.
At the heart of agriculture and the farming community, RABI provide practical, financial and mental health support across England and Wales, to empower farming people to become financially resilient, so short-term monetary problems don’t create negative life-changing impacts.
The new Individual Giving Fundraiser will join a small, but successful fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory, ensuring that donors receive excellent care. Alongside this you will manage the relationship of their incumbent fundraising agency week by week.
You will have:
- Prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, an understanding of good stewardship practices, donor recruitment and retention, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets from unrestricted donations.
- Effective relationship management and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maximise engagement with donors and supporters. A thorough understanding of individual giving, the donor journey, and individual giving programmes, with experience of working with agencies would be an advantage.
- Marketing or direct marketing experience (e.g. telemarketing) and be able to create and tailor engaging and emotive copy for a range of different channels.
- Planned and delivered activity, managed projects, evaluating results including accurate record keeping using a CRM system.
- A positive and creative approach to work, thriving in a dynamic environment, with a variety of teams, meeting multiple deadlines and the ability to multitask.

Refugee Council is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Executive to secure and steward new donors, and to grow the charity’s established Major Donor/Philanthropy programme, taking it to a new level of giving.
Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK. Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment. Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system. The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.
As a result of growing need and increasing interest in Refugee Council’s work, the charity has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their Philanthropy Team to raise increased funds from key high value audiences.
Working with key stakeholders from across the organisation, the post-holder will play a critical role in the delivery of an ambitious Major Donor/Philanthropy strategy and will be responsible for offering inspiring stewardship to the existing cohort of major donors, and for driving forward work to identify new prospects. Refugee Council has ambitious plans to significantly grow income from major donors, capitalising on the high profile which immigration and asylum currently have in public and political discourse.
The ideal candidate will have a track record in cultivating relationships from new and existing supporters and in securing in five figure gifts or above, as well as in meeting challenging income targets. The hospice offers a 13-bedroom ward for patients who need round the clock care as well as a Wellbeing and Outreach service – in total the Prince of Wales Hospice cares for over 300 people a year! Despite costing £11,000 a day to run the hospice and £4m a year, all of the services are entirely free of charge to patients and their families so the hospice is largely dependent on fundraised income.

We are looking for a Trusts and Major Gifts Officer to join the ambitious and dedicated Fundraising Team at the hospice.
The Role
As a Trusts and Major Gifts Officer you will be responsible for developing and delivering an annual Fundraising plan from charitable trusts and foundations. Duties will include:
· Maximising unrestricted donations from charitable trusts
· Working collaboratively across the organisation, particularly with Income Generation Leaders
· Developing and implementing a mid-level gifts direct mail programme
· Planning and overseeing the delivery of excellent stewardship of supporters to maximise donor loyalty and lifetime value.
The Person
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual who ideally has proven fundraising or bid writing experience to take this established trust fundraising programme to the next level. We would also be interested in speaking with people with excellent written communication and creative writing skills looking to transition into this exciting area.
You should be a flexible and resilient team player, adept at putting together compelling cases for support and presenting complex information. Ideally you will have the ability to nurture relationships with existing and potential supporters, creating sustainable income from loyal donors.
With strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build lasting relationships and a passion for fundraising and community this could be the next exciting step in your fundraising career.

The post-holder will also build and manage a pipeline of sustainable income, with a heavy focus on acquisition, supported by the High Value Relationships Lead and Senior Leaders across the organisation.
Mencap is seeking a professional fundraiser with a talent for philanthropy acquisition and securing five-figure+ sums from Major Donors. The ideal candidate will have an ambitious and creative approach to Major Donor fundraising with excellent relationships management abilities and the gravitas and skill to influence and engage cold and warm contacts.
You will have proven experience of building long-term effective relationships with senior stakeholders, both internal and external and of project management and cross-organisational working. Strong written and verbal communication skills will be a must, as well as being a strategic thinker with the ability to convey complex and emotive topics in a clear and compelling way. The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children. Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is what drives their fundraising team to get out there and bring in the funds needed to protect children and prevent abuse.
Through Speak out Stay Safe, a primary school safeguarding programme, NSPCC reached 1.2m children in 2022/23 and helped many more through their other services, which include a helpline, community events and campaigning for policy and practice changes. The charity also developed new services to help families, campaigned to change laws, shared information about abuse and how to recognise it, and developed new tools for children, parents and professionals.
The Philanthropy Individuals team focus on high level, infividual donors and are responsible for securing 4- to 7-figure plus gifts. The team consists of 12 fundraisers, who collectively raise £3.5M a year. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, the Senior Philanthropy Manager – Northwest will potentially manage one membver of this team.
You will also be responsible for maximising the long term relationships of all new and existing individual donors capable of gifts ranging from £5k to £1M+, driving new business with the support of your line-/dotted-line support.
As Senior Philanthropy Manager – Northwest, you will:
- Identify, develop and cultivate major donors up to 7-figure level, supporting a team income target of c.£700k
- Grow your own portfolio of major donors with focus on £100k+ prospects
- Play a leading role across North West to raise the profile of engagement with major donors
- Develop and deliver strategies to improve relationships with supporters and prospects to increase income for NSPCC
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience raising income from major donors at 5- and 6-figure level
- Leadership, management and team-building skills
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop fundraising strategies
- Line management experience desirable
