About the Role
Cord’s turnover is about £2.3M a year. About 85% of Cord’s funding is restricted, coming from institutional donors like the EU and governments, and 15% (about £300K) is unrestricted coming from a committed UK supporter base and other private fundraising streams.
In 2026, Cord is registered in the UK and has offices in five other countries and programme activities in a further seven countries.
Cord has a range of finance systems, procedures and reporting practices to meet the needs of our operations in each location. Our finance function facilitates operations across the organisation to ensure there is good financial management, effective financial control, and compliance as well as a culture of support and learning.
This role is responsible for bookkeeping for Cord’s UK operation. The organisation’s income is received directly to the UK, the UK expenditure (£700K) and the organisation’s main treasury management is within the UK. The UK Finance Officer processes the monthly payroll for the UK (11ppl) and international staff (8ppl), processes international payments and fund transfers. The role also supports to the Finance Manager to implement the Finance Workplan and it produces a range of reports that support the effective financial management of the organisation.
This role would suit someone with experience of working in finance within a charity, who is motivated by the work that Cord does and is interested in undertaking a long-term role. You will need an organised approach to your work, with the ability to diligently complete routine functions independently, whilst also being sufficiently flexible and able to respond to immediate tasks as they arise. You will have a drive for continual improvement of the organisation’s systems and processes, with a view improve efficiency and adapt to changing technological developments and compliance regulations.

You’ll be a senior leader in the Income Generation team, working closely with the Director of Income to help lead a nine-strong team and shape how the function develops. You will provide day-to-day management support, help bring structure and consistency to ways of working, and play a key role in building a collaborative, supportive culture across the team.
Alongside management and strategy duties, you will lead on Major Donors fundraising, building strong and lasting relationships with major donors while confidently leading on stewardship. Job purpose
We are seeking a strategic, collaborative and experienced Head of income and partnerships to drive forward and deliver our plans for income growth and diversification in line with our 5-year organisational strategy.
This is a new, pivotal role at a defining moment for the organisation. As we evolve our operating model and ambitions, you will lead the development of a more diverse, sustainable and innovative income portfolio, ensuring we can continue to grow our impact in advancing the quality of veterinary care for the benefit of animals, the public and society.
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with your senior team colleagues, you will develop and implement our income generation strategy, unlocking opportunities across industry partnerships, trust and foundations and individual giving.
We’re looking for someone who is both strategically minded and comfortable with hands-on delivery, and who will take a proactive approach to building our income-generating capacity from the ground up.

Role purpose
The Senior Challenge Fundraising Officer will lead the delivery and growth of APF’s third-party and mass participation challenge events portfolio.
This role exists to significantly grow income and participation by managing end-to-end third-party challenge events, developing community-facing charity-owned fundraising products and delivering excellent supporter stewardship
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and colleagues across Communications, Services and the Operations Team, you will increase recruitment, empower supporters to raise ambitious funds, and create journeys that encourage long-term engagement with APF.
Success in this role means more people fundraising for APF, raising more income and feeling valued, supported and inspired to stay connected to our mission.

You will be joining Ashden at a pivotal moment. In 2024, we launched our Changemakers campaign to secure mission-aligned funding from donors making four and five-figure gifts and beyond - a programme you will personally lead and continue to shape and develop - an exciting opportunity to nuture an emerging initiative by stewarding and uplifting current donors whilst attracting new supporters. Working in close partnership with the Director of Business Development, you will also proactively support the prospecting, cultivation and stewardship of both new and existing donors to secure transformational seven-figure gifts. As our Major Donor Lead you will have the opportunity to define, refine and strengthen our major donor proposition more broadly, securing both unrestricted and restricted income to support our long-term impact.
We’re seeking an experienced fundraiser with a track record of securing major gifts and building strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals. While climate or environmental exposure is not essential, alignment with Ashden's values and passion for driving systems change is crucial. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team, including senior leadership and Trustees, and will have key strategic and operational input into the success of our fundraising, the growth of the team, and the broader impact of our charity.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering impactful marketing campaigns that drive supporter engagement and help generate vital income to support our lifesaving service.
In this role, you will support leading the delivery of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, print and supporter communications. You’ll work closely with teams across fundraising, retail and operations to bring campaigns to life—ensuring they are insight-led, on-brand and deliver measurable results.
You’ll be responsible for planning and executing campaigns from concept through to evaluation, producing engaging content, and continuously optimising performance using data and audience insight. With ownership of campaign messaging and supporter communications, you will help ensure a consistent, compelling experience across all touchpoints.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple projects, collaborating with stakeholders and making a tangible difference through their work
