Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Join us as a Regional Fundraiser at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association! You will play a pivotal role in identifying and executing fundraising activities to achieve our income and expenditure targets.
As a Regional Fundraiser, you'll engage with various fundraising avenues, including community, corporate, trusts, major donors, and legacies. By collaborating with specialists across these areas, you'll ensure our fundraising efforts are maximised for impact.
Understanding the characteristics of your local community will be key to tailoring our strategies effectively. By building strong relationships with local supporters and those with influence in the community, you'll drive engagement and support for our cause.
You'll also play a vital role in developing our volunteer network, providing support and motivation where needed. Your focus will be on activities that offer a strong Return on Investment (ROI), fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across branches and groups.
Representing at MND Association events, cheque presentations, and through talks and presentations, you'll amplify our message and inspire participation of branches and groups in national events.
Working closely with the Director of Regional Care and the team, you'll contribute to achieving our strategic objectives. Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including Charity Commission standards and the Data Protection Act, will be central to your responsibilities.
Effective management of our community fundraising activities, including financial tracking and reporting, will be essential. You'll utilise tools like our fundraising database (Raisers Edge) to maintain accurate records and provide insights for decision-making.
This role is home-based with travel requirements across the Thames Valley region, and will include occasional evening and weekend hours. A driving license is essential.
What are we looking for?
A passionate and driven individual with a strong background in Community Fundraising or Relationship Management with evidence of working with volunteers.
Experience of devising, implementing, and monitoring systems and procedures, and experience and managing complex projects is essential.
With experience of motivating and coaching individuals, you will also need to excel in building and maintaining relationships, communicating with creativity and precision, and thrive in a target-driven environment.

Location: 2wish currently offers a form of hybrid working and this will continue for the foreseeable future. This post is predominantly home based, with regular travel across the area you reside in and some travel to our Head Office in South Wales
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.

Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. 2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.
Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

We are a largely self-funded charity providing support across Wales and more recently, in the bordering counties with England. Our support team works very closely with our fundraising team to increase income but also to raise awareness of the work of 2wish.
This is a unique opportunity for two individuals to raise awareness of the charity, building it’s profile and engaging communities across the English counties that border Wales. It will involve helping to organise fundraising events, working with volunteers and encouraging community fundraising opportunities.
Main duties:
- To help raise awareness of 2wish and the work we do in England
- To work alongside the support team in England, Phase I and to build on the reputation of 2wish
- Research, approach and engage community groups and local supporters using mechanisms for engaging their support to develop additional sources of income
- To liaise with the public in England, Phase I who are fundraising for 2wish
- To support the delivery of community and corporate events, and monitor the income raised
- To attend community and networking events where necessary
- To actively participate in and collaborate on financial planning for England, Phase I as a business unit during regular fundraising meetings
- To submit an annual business plan and budgets for the England fundraising team
- To submit monthly and annual reports to the Fundraising Manager as required and work to monthly targets
- Supporting the 2wish Fundraising Team with events and community fundraising
- Working with the Volunteer Coordinator to identify and secure volunteers and ambassadors, meeting them regularly and maintaining engagement
- Maintain relationships with all donors including attending cheque presentations
- To work flexibly, travel, and make overnight stays when required
- To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity when required

It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are, in many circumstances, unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and tasks which are not specifically covered in their job description may have to be undertaken. About FareShare South West
FareShare South West is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, and share it with over 400 charities, schools and community hubs across the south west, joining the dots between food waste and hunger and transforming an environmental problem into social good.
Purpose of role
FareShare South West’s (FSSW) fundraising need and strategy has developed and diversified rapidly in line with major growth since 2017. Trusts and Grants make up a significant percentage of FSSW’s annual fundraised income.
The Trusts and Grants Officer (TO) will be responsible for managing our portfolio of small grants (up to £15k) alongside supporting larger grant applications where appropriate. This involves researching available funding opportunities, maintaining a prospect list and applying to relevant opportunities. The TO will work with the Fundraising Manager (FM) to create compelling fundraising applications for both core funding and specific projects. They will be responsible for the stewardship of their funders, ensuring that they meet reporting guidelines, share impact data appropriately and keep funders updated of any project changes.
This role will suit an individual with excellent writing skills looking to develop their skills in the charity sector. The successful candidate will be able to create powerful narratives incorporating factual data and emotive case studies and be confident in approaching funders and promoting FareShare South West.
This role will be based in our central Bristol office, with occasional home working and occasional travel to our Plymouth warehouse.
The pay scale for this role reflects that we're open to applications from experienced Trusts and Grants Fundraisers, and also those looking to move into the sector who have transferable skills.
The role
Thousands of people in our communities are affected by breast cancer, and many of these are compelled to help by fundraising for Breast Cancer Now. To enable us to best support our network of fundraisers, and create a sector leading programme, we've just reconfigured our community fundraising team.
This has created an exciting opportunity for a community fundraising operations executive to join our wonderful team.
In this role, you’ll help to deliver our mass market ‘DIY fundraising’ programme. This will involve looking after our fundraising pack fulfilment, supporting on our email stewardship, and managing day to day enquiries from our incredible supporters.
You’ll work closely with the wider community fundraising team to provide operational support and, reporting into the senior community fundraising operations officer, you’ll also assist on a variety of projects. This could include anything from analysis and reporting to stewardship communications and making sure our supporters have the materials they need for their fundraisers.
You’ll be well supported in your role, with the opportunity to learn from members of the wider team. You’ll also be encouraged to develop your skills by attending sector webinars and accessing our organisation learning programme.
About you
We’re looking for a brilliant communicator who thrives in a busy environment and is committed to the highest standards of supporter stewardship. You’re a team player who is eager to help others achieve amazing results but is also confident to work independently. You have a creative eye and some experience of developing communications and content, and can write compelling copy for a range of audiences.
You’ll have previous experience of stewarding mass market audiences via email and will be familiar with relationship management databases.
With excellent organisational skills, you’ll enjoy managing a varied workload, prioritising key tasks, and ensuring projects are completed within set deadlines. You’re logical and analytical, with the ability to analyse results and report against KPIs.

The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children. Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is what drives their fundraising team to get out there and bring in the funds needed to protect children and prevent abuse.
Through Speak out Stay Safe, a primary school safeguarding programme, NSPCC reached 1.2m children in 2022/23 and helped many more through their other services, which include a helpline, community events and campaigning for policy and practice changes. The charity also developed new services to help families, campaigned to change laws, shared information about abuse and how to recognise it, and developed new tools for children, parents and professionals.
The Philanthropy Individuals team focus on high level, infividual donors and are responsible for securing 4- to 7-figure plus gifts. The team consists of 12 fundraisers, who collectively raise £3.5M a year. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, the Senior Philanthropy Manager – Northwest will potentially manage one membver of this team.
You will also be responsible for maximising the long term relationships of all new and existing individual donors capable of gifts ranging from £5k to £1M+, driving new business with the support of your line-/dotted-line support.
As Senior Philanthropy Manager – Northwest, you will:
- Identify, develop and cultivate major donors up to 7-figure level, supporting a team income target of c.£700k
- Grow your own portfolio of major donors with focus on £100k+ prospects
- Play a leading role across North West to raise the profile of engagement with major donors
- Develop and deliver strategies to improve relationships with supporters and prospects to increase income for NSPCC
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience raising income from major donors at 5- and 6-figure level
- Leadership, management and team-building skills
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop fundraising strategies
- Line management experience desirable
