We are seeking a knowledgeable individual to oversee the Fundraising Development Manager position for a fixed-term, covering maternity leave. The successful applicant will have some professional experience of fundraising and/or education development, together with experience of developing good working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

About Age UK London
Age UK London is a charity that campaigns for an age-friendly London. We campaign for specific changes to improve the lives of older Londoners and ensure that their experiences, needs and contributions are heard and taken into account by decision makers.
We do this in three ways:
· Core campaigns, through which we will secure specific, sustainable changes to the policies and practices of decision makers to improve the lives of older Londoners.
· Shaping the agenda, by ensuring that the experiences, needs and contributions of older Londoners are heard by decision makers and form part of the public discourse on the future of London.
· Supporting the London network of local Age UKs. An age-friendly city relies on both campaigning and direct service provision, so we support the network of local Age UKs in London who deliver vital front-line services.
Since becoming a charity focused solely on campaigning in 2019, Age UK London has adopted and implemented a new strategy. We have agreed campaign priorities; successfully changed policy at a London-wide and borough level; and adapted our finance, HR and IT systems to better support a campaigning charity.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for a candidate to cover our CEO’s maternity leave from the end of May 2024 until the middle of February 2025 to oversee the continued delivery of the charity's current strategy. This includes securing policy changes in our current campaign priority areas of digital inclusion, public toilet provision and poverty amongst older Londoners; supporting the development of new campaigns; and establishing systems to increase our financial sustainability.

Oasis Project is recruiting a Head of Fundraising and Development. As Head of Fundraising and Development, you will work with our board of trustees, senior leadership team and staff. You will manage and develop the fundraising, communications, and marketing functions, to promote the implementation of Oasis Project’s new strategy for 2024-27. You will lead and deliver on income generation targets which support the mid and long-term sustainability of Oasis Project. You will be an experienced fundraising manager, with sound bid-writing experience who is looking to move into a senior leadership role. You will have:
· Fundraising experience (with trusts and foundations) working in a management level role within a voluntary sector organisation, wanting to or having progressed into senior leadership.
· Experience in financial management, budgeting skills, with a high degree of IT literacy.
· Experience in thinking strategically and developing operational business plans.
· Demonstrable experience of working in a fundraising and development role with a focus on income generation and fundraising strategy development.
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to enthuse, motivate and develop teams of people to deliver results.
· Ability to write clear and persuasive documents including bids, marketing materials and board reports.
· Commitment to mirroring Oasis Project values in day-to-day work – collaboration, care creativity and learning.
· Proven track record of securing funding in a tough financial climate, including through trust and foundations and government contracts.

Purpose of the role:
To support the Development and Fundraising function of the Trust, developing long term relationships and maximising income. The Head of Development will work alongside the Development Director and other staff to implement our Development Strategy, increasing income from Trusts and Foundations, Major Donors and Individual Givers and other sources.
Key responsibilities:
Relationship Development
· Nurture and develop relationships with existing donors, contributing to the collection of monitoring information ensuring continued support and engagement.
· To manage a portfolio of current and potential supporters to maintain, grow and/or revive their support for the Fellowship, implementing strategies for donor cultivation and stewardship.
Funding and partnership proposals
· To use research tools to identify and research Individual, Trust and Major Donor opportunities.
· To oversee the management of grant and trust income programme, ensuring production of effective, high quality proposals.
· To contribute to the achievement of the Fellowship’s target to raise both unrestricted and restricted funding.
· To maintain up-to-date information on the status of funding applications and grant management in Salesforce – our customer relationship management database.
Systems and processes
· To manage the development and implementation of systems and processes to record the development and engagement pipeline, ensuring that all key information is recorded consistently.
· Work with the finance team to ensure income regular income reconciliation and forecasting.
Other
· To line manage a Development Officer.
· To support the Churchill Fellowship’s internal due diligence approval processes.
· To provide cover to colleagues in their absence.
· To undertake any other reasonable duties as and when required.
Working for The Churchill Fellowship
Detailed package, benefits and wellbeing package:
- Salary c. £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (paid pro-rata for 22.5 hours per week)

Standard working hours are 36.5 hours a week 9.30am until 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and from 9.30am until 4.00pm on Friday, including a paid lunch break of one hour.
We have embraced the benefits of working from home and at the same time, we value the contribution of face-to-face contact in building teamwork, collaborating with your colleagues, exchanging ideas and know-how, and for work efficiency. We therefore operate a hybrid working policy, where staff can work from home if they wish, however everyone is required to work in the office a minimum of 4 to 6 days a month with Tuesdays as the core day for regular whole team meetings, workshops and training.

We are an ambitious Hospital charity with an exciting opportunity to join us on our team as a Fundraising Assistant, initially on a three month contract with potential to extend.
We currently raise between £1-2m a year for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust which has four sites local to Hertfordshire, including the Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (North London). About you
Ideally you will already have experience in an administration or customer service role and looking to start a career in fundraising. You will be looking for 20-37.5 hours a week and can work flexibly including some evenings and weekends to support at fundraising events.
Main duties of the job
- Provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including, dealing with enquiries (postal, telephone, email, face to face), opening and sorting post.
- Work to build excellent relationships with donors to provide a high standard of customer care.
- Process one-off and regular donations ensuring procedures are followed and information is recorded correctly onto the database and thank you letters are sent.
- Work with cancer centre volunteers to support the team with administration tasks.
- To undertake specific fundraising projects and attend events as necessary or as required to support the department’s fundraising.
- To assist the fundraisers with administration of staff lottery, raffles and prize led promotion and fundraising as required.
- Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at internal and external events.
- Manage ‘Gift in Kind’ donations and our ‘Gift in Kind’ Campaigns.
