Reporting to the Head of Development – Student Support, the Senior Development Executive will develop and implement plans to generate major gifts for Student Support with an emphasis on outreach, internships and postgraduate support.
About the Role
- The post holder will be expected to spend the greater part of their time identifying, meeting and stewarding current or prospective donors.
- The post holder will manage a portfolio of more than 100 major gifts prospects. The post holder will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of potential donors, typically in the range of £250,000-£1,000,000.
About you
- You are a motivated fundraiser with experience of raising at a minimum six-figure gifts and a keen interest in widening access to Higher Education by gaining support for scholarships and graduate scholarships across a wide range of areas.
- You are highly motivated and will possess a strong drive towards getting out in the field, developing purposeful and effective relationships with prospective benefactors and advancing social mobility through philanthropic investment.

In Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Sudan, women learn skills to rebuild their families and communities through the Women for Women International’s Stronger Women, Stronger Nations Programme.
They form support networks, are equipped with the skills to earn an income and save and gain knowledge and resources about health and their rights. The Role
This role will join a small and dedicated Corporate Partnerships team, responsible for delivering a seven figure income budget annually.
The role will be pivotal in the continued growth of Corporate Partnerships at Women for Women International. With a history of delivering high-profile cause-related marketing campaigns, and having recently secured several partnerships with global fundraising potential, this is an exciting time to join the team.
With a vision to grow global partnerships, this role will support identifying and delivering new partnerships from companies in collaboration with colleagues across UK, Germany and US teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in account management and working within business development. Previous charity sector experience is desirable, however, transferrable talents will also be considered for this role.

Lady Margaret Hall is seeking an Associate Development Director (Major Gifts). This is a senior position within the Development Team reporting to the Director of Development. The Associate Development Director will manage a portfolio of 100 or so prospects and donors, some of whom we have little contact with, and others who will be engaged. They will be a front-line fundraiser who will spend a considerable amount of time meeting with alumni online and in person in the UK (mainly London and Oxford) as well as independently developing pipelines.
This is an exciting time to join the team. Lady Margaret Hall is in the early stages of a major fundraising campaign in the lead up to our 150th anniversary in 2028 and we are looking for a motivated, confident and passionate fundraiser to join the team and assist the Director of Development with major gifts fundraising from the growing pipeline of qualified and unqualified prospects. The campaign is varied and includes fundraising for the endowment, unrestricted gifts, capital works and scholarships.

The Director of Development and External Affairs will lead the fundraising, audiences, and communications teams and support the direction of strategic plans for the Museum. The Director will determine a strategic plan for commercial opportunities within the remit of the role including corporate sponsorship, hire and hospitality, filming and photography location shooting, as well as fundraising revenue streams. You will manage both capital and revenue income targets and support an experienced team to increase visitor attendance to achieve c. 400,000 visitors per year. Crucially you will deputise for the Chief Executive where appropriate.
The selected candidate will have leadership experience in an organisation of at least comparable scale and complexity and will have a track record of developing and delivering successful strategies across external affairs, fundraising and audiences. The Head of Development will play a crucial role in our Development team and the wider organisation. You will need to be comfortable working in an adaptable and responsive manner and have a passion for enabling change across a wide variety of areas. This is a new role and many of the specifics will be developed in collaboration with the Development Director.
To be successful in this role you will need to be happy working collaboratively as well as autonomously at other times: it will be crucial to work closely with various different stakeholders inside and outside the organisation to ensure that the development function is serving the needs of all teams, but it will also be important to ensure you are comfortable making key decisions and delivering on your vision for the development and fundraising function.

Purpose of the role:
To support the Development and Fundraising function of the Trust, developing long term relationships and maximising income. The Head of Development will work alongside the Development Director and other staff to implement our Development Strategy, increasing income from Trusts and Foundations, Major Donors and Individual Givers and other sources.
Key responsibilities:
Relationship Development
· Nurture and develop relationships with existing donors, contributing to the collection of monitoring information ensuring continued support and engagement.
· To manage a portfolio of current and potential supporters to maintain, grow and/or revive their support for the Fellowship, implementing strategies for donor cultivation and stewardship.
Funding and partnership proposals
· To use research tools to identify and research Individual, Trust and Major Donor opportunities.
· To oversee the management of grant and trust income programme, ensuring production of effective, high quality proposals.
· To contribute to the achievement of the Fellowship’s target to raise both unrestricted and restricted funding.
· To maintain up-to-date information on the status of funding applications and grant management in Salesforce – our customer relationship management database.
Systems and processes
· To manage the development and implementation of systems and processes to record the development and engagement pipeline, ensuring that all key information is recorded consistently.
· Work with the finance team to ensure income regular income reconciliation and forecasting.
Other
· To line manage a Development Officer.
· To support the Churchill Fellowship’s internal due diligence approval processes.
· To provide cover to colleagues in their absence.
· To undertake any other reasonable duties as and when required.
Working for The Churchill Fellowship
Detailed package, benefits and wellbeing package:
- Salary c. £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (paid pro-rata for 22.5 hours per week)

Standard working hours are 36.5 hours a week 9.30am until 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and from 9.30am until 4.00pm on Friday, including a paid lunch break of one hour.
We have embraced the benefits of working from home and at the same time, we value the contribution of face-to-face contact in building teamwork, collaborating with your colleagues, exchanging ideas and know-how, and for work efficiency. We therefore operate a hybrid working policy, where staff can work from home if they wish, however everyone is required to work in the office a minimum of 4 to 6 days a month with Tuesdays as the core day for regular whole team meetings, workshops and training.
