Salary:£35,392 - £42,618 (depending on experience)

Base:Manchester, all roles are office based however there is some opportunity for occasional working from home

We are looking for a creative, dynamic and adaptable corporate fundraising manager with a minimum of three years’ experience or relevant sales experience to develop and deliver a successful corporate fundraising strategy. You will need to have strong interpersonal skills and significant  experience of delivering pitches and securing new business, coupled with demonstrable success of securing sponsorship and commercial participation opportunities.

You will have a natural flair and genuine passion for corporate fundraising, be a terrific storyteller with  exceptional communication skills to bring this unique world leading cancer centre alive for businesses in an engaging and purposeful way. . Most of all, we are looking for someone whose enthusiasm, innovation and ambition  will match those of the Charity. . As part of a supportive and committed team, you  will be professional in your approach and provide an excellent standard of service for our charity supporters.

The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive gold standard care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

You will be managing an established income stream that raises important core and project funding for Willen Hospice. In this integral fundraising role, you will have the opportunity to transform our services by working closely with service teams to get unrestricted and restricted grants from Trusts and Foundations. 

With strong communication & relationship-building skills you will report to the Associate Director of Income Generation, working across clinical and support departments and with external partners to write high-calibre, persuasive applications and reports.

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease, caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for people’s wishes. We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy.  Our dedicated Business Development teams and retail portfolio of shops raise vital funds to deliver this care.

The role

Working through a team, the Marketing & Fundraising Manager is instrumental in supporting Options vision and mission through clear strategic marketing, fundraising delivery as well as monitoring and reporting on its impact.

Key responsibilities

1.Ensure the development of a clear marketing and fundraising plan aligned with our strategic objectives and target audience to drive brand awareness, engagement, and income.

2.Work alongside agency partners to plan, execute and monitor integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns across on and offline channels.

3.Ensure brand consistency and integrity, including tone of voice across all marketing materials and communications.

4.Create engaging and compelling content including articles, blogs, videos, and graphics to promote our support and expertise and raise awareness of key campaigning topics.

5.Maintain a database of supporter, donors, and potential funders, maintaining accurate records that are kept up to date and information handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR regulations.

6.Ensure donor effective stewardship journeys are followed.

7.Maintain online fundraising platforms, social media feeds and associated communications tools alongside the Marketing Officer.

8.Lead, motivate and support the marketing team: Marketing Officer, Fundraising Coordinator, and Social Media Apprentice.

9.Oversee website content management ensuring, blogs, stories, and events are relevant and in line with our marketing and fundraising strategy.

10.Work alongside other departments such as the Community, Recruitment, and Finance Team to ensure the organisation runs smoothly.

11.Collect feedback from people we support, families and staff to ensure the continued development of the marketing and fundraising strategy.

12.Look for opportunities to increase our network of contacts, stakeholders, and volunteers.  

13.Support the Leadership Team in improving internal communication and brand alignment of all staff and people associated with Options.

14.Working alongside the leadership team to ensure that one-off projects are completed on time and accurately.

15.Remain up to date with current marketing trends to influence and remain relevant in a widely competitive third-sector market.

16.Prepare reports for the leadership team and Options trustees on project targets and outcomes.

17.Attend relevant meetings and work within Options, values and beliefs, policies, and procedures.

18.Represent Options at events as required.

Experience

1.Experience of professional fundraising, or similar experience in a marketing, sales, or business development environment.

2.Track record of setting and achieving income targets.

3.Experience of managing people.

Qualifications

It is desirable to have a relevant professional qualification – Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or Chartered Institute of Fundraising (IoF) - or working towards.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

Duties and key responsibilities

Community fundraising

• Manage and develop regional fundraising by devising a regional community fundraising strategy for income generation.
• Design and develop Sarcoma UK's calendar of annual community fundraising campaigns and events communication, including Cuppa and Cake.
• Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
• Identify opportunities and recruit new community fundraisers, fundraising groups, corporate and school partners.
• Work with the Fundraising team to produce regular feedback reports and analysis on specific community products and overall revenue.
• Lead on promotion of community fundraising through digital marketing, PR, speaking engagements and on the ground fundraising.

Management

• Provide line management and day-to-day support to the Regional Fundraising Officer North, building their fundraising knowledge.
• Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for your areas of responsibility.

Income Generation

• Implement agreed KPIs, objectives and budget for the Regional Fundraising Team to drive support and engagement.
• Identify fundraising products, key accounts, and projects that will support income growth both locally and nationally.
• Responsible for monitoring and managing all income streams across all community fundraising lines including Gift Aid and working closely with the Operations Team.

Processes, administration, and reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
• Ensure all recording, and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
• Ensure necessary Community Fundraising policies are up to date.
• Follow Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures including risk assessments to ensure a consistent approach and maintain a high level of support expected by our donors and fundraisers.
• Ensure that all activities are compliant with legislation governing fundraising including GDPR, health and safety, Institute of Fundraising, and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Conduct.

Wider fundraising

• Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
• Support third party fundraising and challenge event portfolio.
• Work with the Events Manager to develop merchandise and trade income opportunities.
• Support with managing merchandise supplier relationships and internal and external stock levels.

General

• The role requires some travel to events and meetings throughout the UK. Some weekend or evening work will also be required and time off in lieu will be given. Travel expenses will be reimbursed (exc. Travel to the Sarcoma UK office).
• Stay up to date with the latest knowledge in fundraising and ensure Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures follow best practice.
• The post holder will be working in a developing environment, and they will therefore be required to undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

As Fundraising Manager you will lead the high value fundraising (Grants, Trusts and Corporates, major donors) team in Wales to maximise income from external funding streams by developing funding plans, identifying opportunities, building relationships and generating funds to agreed targets. The role is home based in Wales with expectation of coming together regularly to meet in offices or travel across Wales when appropriate.

What's the role about?

This is a strategic role looking to maximise existing income sources and identify and evaluate new sources of income to ensure sustainable funding for RSPB Cymru's work. The successful candidate will develop and deliver fundraising plans, implement and review an annual team work programme, and manage and maintain relationships with existing and potential funders to increase financial support for nature conservation programmes across the RSPB and partners/sector.

Key to this role will be working with Head of Funding Development and colleagues to plan advocacy and solicitation strategies, ensuring standards, funding conditions and compliance is met, reporting internally and externally and setting and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimise performance, maximise income and ensure on-going funding of RSPB's work.

• Experience of developing fundraising projects with a range of partners and managing multiple donor relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver a new Partners development strategy to secure significant gifts from individuals.

• Identify, cultivate and secure relationships to deliver maximum long-term impact and income through effective personal relationship management of major Partners.

• Develop strong and enduring relationships with current and potential major Partners.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals.

• Work with the Head of International Programme to design and develop a targeted contact strategy.

• Develop and maintain adequate major Partners records.

• Market UKIM Relief’s projects and products to new and existing partners whilst maintaining partner loyalty through special partner services. 

• Work efficiently towards the continuous enlargement of UKIM Relief’s partner database.

• Assist in coordinating in Partner Services to ensure data integrity, quality control, and database requirements.

• Ensure that all partner information and reports are of the highest quality and are submitted (if required) in a timely fashion.

• To be up-to-date with all new projects, proposals and potential appeals. 

• Ensure that all partners receive a courteous, helpful and professional service at all times.

• Effectively attract and retain partners by liaising with them on a daily basis. 

• Accurately record, process and keep all enquires and financial transactions confidential. 

• Maintain and assist the Manager to develop an effective administrative systems in order to achieve maximum efficiency across the department.

• Develop and sustain the mutual understanding between UKIM Relief’s and the public.

• To complement the work of the Communications team in producing different types of media to project the work of UKIM Relief to long-terms partners. 

• Ensure duties are performed in line with the Data Protection Act, Confidentiality Regulations, Government legislation and UKIM Relief Policies.

• Ensure information flow is managed and easily accessible to allow the team to provide all partners with any personal information requested.

• Ensure the processing of daily mail, data entry and major partner gift acknowledgements are done efficiently.

• Comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.

• Hold a valid passport and be willing and able to travel extensively, at short notice and under conditions of physical hardship.

Person Specification:

• Experience of major partner fundraising.

• Strong knowledge of, and successful track record in, delivering significant new income through personal approaches to major partner prospects.

• Proven track record of personally soliciting high value gifts from major partners and of developing long-term relationships.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with senior colleagues, stakeholders and partners

The Philanthropy Manager lead in the delivery of the Philanthropy Giving plan for the short-term by securing significant gifts from Trusts & Foundations. You will prospect, qualify, cultivate and steward, building long-term mutually beneficial relationships and growing this relatively new income stream.

You will inspire and expand on a core group of Trust & Foundations to fund and invest in human relevant, animal free medical research and contribute to it becoming the Gold Standard for future generations to come.

Activities may include:

The successful execution of a targeted growth plan from trusts and foundations

• Deliver a comprehensive philanthropy giving plan, with targets and performance metrics
• Review and optimise current prospects pipeline to grow long-term, sustainable income (both restricted and unrestricted) generating £15,000 from Trusts and Foundations
• Excellent cultivation and stewardship with existing and new trusts and foundations to maximise income potential and build strong relationships
• Be responsible for ensuring effective and timely reporting of progress made to grant funders

Write and submit compelling bid proposals to secure funding from major trusts, working closely with colleagues to ensure content is accurate and up to date

• Work with colleagues to produce consistently outstanding, high quality, imaginative and compelling proposals, to present to both large and small trusts and foundations
• Plan and deliver a schedule of high-quality submissions that delivers on time and on targets
• Oversee the implementation of the terms and conditions of successful grants, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of projects performance against the agreed activity plan and liaise with colleagues as necessary

Record and maintain accurate records of donor communication and income through our CRM, producing reports and insights where appropriate

• Maintain efficiency in donation fulfilment, documentation of grants, acknowledgement and manage all correspondence (email, mail) through the Donorfy donor management system
