We are seeking a positive, team-focused, relational Trust Fundraising Officer to join our creative and busy Fundraising and Communications Team.
You will be responsible for liaising with grant givers, and writing and submitting high quality, compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations. The ideal candidate will enjoy cultivating positive relationships with funders, liaising with our outward focused ministry teams to build excellent submissions and will thrive in a high pressure environment. With your excellent time management and organisational skills, you will take ownership of a portfolio of small-medium grant-makers, contributing towards a shared annual income target. You will be joining us at a great time, as we look to strengthen and grow our team.
Salaried at £27,701 per annum. The role is full time.
Due to the nature of the role there is an Occupational Requirement that the postholder is a committed Christian under Part 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, an active member of a local church, and in agreement with the CPAS Basis of Faith.
This post will be subject to a Basic DBS check, and satisfactory completion of a Declaration of Suitability form. You must have evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Harris Hill is working with an environmental charity to help source a Trust and Foundations Fundraiser on an interim basis.
Trust and Foundations is a relatively new source of income for this charity. Receiving most of their income from restricted sources, they have dipped their toes in the unrestricted pool and found it to be very warm indeed.
Unfortunately, they don't have the personnel resource, so would like someone to come in and work 1 or 2 days per week on a 6 month contract or a freelancer/ consultant who is willing to bill them directly.
You role will be to write and manage the trust and foundations proposals up to £10k, which are currently warm however, as this is new, you may also be able to bring valued expertise and guidance in finding new sources and direction.

The Supporter-Led Fundraising team look after all supporters choosing to fundraise for Anthony Nolan through taking on Challenge Events, Community Fundraising and those taking part in our product offerings. About the role

About You
As the Director of Fundraising and Communications, you will be pivotal in achieving that ambition. You will lead the fundraising team, excel at relationships fundraising, and have strong leadership and communication skills with multi-income stream experience and expertise. You will develop the charity's fundraising income, manage and grow the fundraising and communications team, and be a key member of the senior management team. It is important to highlight that this is a hands-on role because of the small team, and you will need to be prepared to be actively involved in all aspects of fundraising and communications.
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience in a senior fundraising role, experience of fundraising and management across a diverse range of income streams, particularly in the area of Corporate and Major Donor fundraising, and the ability to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels, the ability to build, develop and maintain key stakeholder, client, and donor relationships, and be highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously when required, as well as within a team.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
Alumni Fundraising

Other Role Requirements:
- Acting as the first point of contact for Old Brightonians contacting the school.
- Attending and hosting events where required (evening and weekend work with time off in lieu).
- Conducting tours of the College for the OB community.
- Supporting the Deputy Director of Development & Engagement in the provision and management of the Old Brightonians shop through stock management, record keeping and ordering merchandise.
Person Specification:
The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the confidence and ability to develop strategic relationships with senior stakeholders
- Strong copy writing skills, with excellent grammar and proofing skills
- Have excellent time management skills and a demonstrable ability to multitask
- Good financial acumen with strong numeracy
- Good level of IT competency and experience of Microsoft Office packages
- Be self-disciplined and motivated
- Excellent attention to detail
- An enthusiasm for education and the independent school system
Desirable:
- Previous experience of relationship fundraising or relationship management
- Analytical and interpretative skills
- Experience of using CRMs and digital marketing platforms
- Previous experience of proofing copy
- Understanding of fundraising best practice, Gift Aid and GDPR legislation
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with a 60 minute unpaid lunch break (37.5 hours per week). In addition to this, the post-holder will be required to work some evenings and weekend events for which time in lieu will be given.
Remuneration:
The Salary for this role will be £30,000 per annum.
Holidays:
23 days, plus bank holidays increasing to 28 days plus bank holidays after 2 years of service.
