Job description

FUSION HOUSING works across Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield and provides housing advice, housing support, learning, employability and food bank services along with accommodation via our HOMEs managed tenancy service


FIXED TERM MATERNITY COVER - February 2022 for 12 months

Location:                    Dewsbury (Empire House)

Hours:                         Full time (37 hours per week)

Salary:                        Band 6 (NJC Point 31), £34,728 per annum

Benefits include:

  • Generous holiday entitlement: 30 days’ annual leave, 2 floating days, plus bank holidays
  • Employer’s pension contribution: 5% of salary

We are looking for an experienced Service/Contract manager with excellent communication and leadership skills to manage and develop existing provision during a period of maternity leave.

Fusion Housing Food Bank provides emergency food parcels for people in crisis across North Kirklees; in the last year we have provided over 3000 food packs. The Initial Contact Service provides first initial stage assessment, advice and assistance on housing and related issues; staff are based at Huddersfield and Dewsbury

Applicants must have knowledge/experience of:

  • Developing services and systems
  • Sourcing funding
  • Local Welfare Provision (LWP)
  • Developing/maintaining relationships with external partners and funders
  • Managing staff/volunteers
  • Leading, supporting, inspiring and managing people to be creative, productive and outcomes focused.
  • Health & Safety and legislative requirements relating to Food Bank Services.
  • Working at a senior level in an organisation and at a level using strategic thinking skills and business planning.
