Criminal Justice Lead Practitioner

Full time at 35 hours per week

Office Based in Leeds City Centre and regular travel across Leeds (current requirement to work from home during Covid-19 restrictions)

Salary: £25,375- £28,420 dependent on experience

GamCare are delighted to be recruiting for the post of Criminal Justice Lead Practitioner to join the Leeds Community Gambling Service. The post-holder will have experience in providing treatment and support in a relevant addictions, health or social care setting as well as a passion to support those within the criminal justice system. The post holder will be ambitious and motivated in their approach to embedding education, training and treatment offers across professional services in Leeds so that those impacted by their own or someone else’s gambling can get support.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing face to face and telephone advice, assessment, brief or structured interventions and groups work to help people achieve their goals
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with all areas of the Criminal Justice system in Leeds
  • Engage with a range of community groups and in community settings to bring awareness of Gambling Harm and the options of treatment offered by Leeds Community Gambling Service

This role will be in collaboration with the GamCare Criminal Justice team in the delivery of the national programme developing gambling harm support within the criminal system.

In Leeds you will form part of an enthusiastic clinical and engagement team working from several locations. To meet the needs of our service users the role will include some evenings and occasional Saturdays.
