Salary: £36,946 - £44,335 – dependent on experience

Home Based with occasional travel across UK

Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.

 

The Role

 

We are ambitious organisation and the leading UK provider of information, advice, support and treatment for anyone concerned about their own or someone else’s gambling. We have an exciting opportunity for a new role within our Clinical and Communities directorate, supporting our growing Partnership’s teams.

The Partnerships Team works closely with GamCare’s Programmes Department to develop strategic partnerships to widen the reach of programmes and maximise the impact of their specialist services, to help more people experiencing gambling related harm access the help.  Programmes deliver awareness and prevention services to a huge range of professionals and individuals across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. The Programmes Department specialise in delivery to and about young people, how gambling affects women, and gambling issues facing people in the criminal justice system.  

 

About You

 

When you join the Partnership’s Team you will play a vital part in helping us expand services to reach adults and young people experiencing gambling related harm.  Our values shape everything, we do: Collaboration, Ambition, Learning & Leading. 

 

The Partnership Development Manager is a key role in the Partnerships Team and, you will be using your skills and experience to develop strategic partnerships and relationships to widen the reach of the Programme’s Teams.  This is a new opportunity within a new team, you will be working closely with the Senior Partnerships Manager and manging the Partnerships Senior Administrator to a build a team.

 

The work of the partnerships team is growing, we are offering the opportunity for you to use your experience of partnership working and relationship development to implement good practice across the organisation.  We are looking for a person who can work collaboratively within our team and across GamCare, is proactive, goal orientated and excited about creating impact through partnerships.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Responsibility for scoping and mapping sectors and geographies to identify emerging and potential needs to inform partnership development and expansion
  • Mapping strategic documents to inform approach to meet the needs of nations, regions, communities and communities of interest, using this knowledge to effectively inform strategic developments and influence key decision makers.
  • To maintain and share market sector understanding including policy changes and competitor activity across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. 
  • Relationship management with existing partnerships within the devolved nations, ensuring high levels of engagement and delivery.
  • To regularly and proactively review partnerships, recognising gaps and opportunities in existing relationships, providing focus on improving relationships and partnership development through well-executed relationship building strategies.
